Bush was absolutely the sitting President when the housing bubble burst. BUT

Clinton repealed Glass-Steagall and created easy inlets for people who did not have the credit to buy a house to suddenly be able to buy a house, despite being completely unprepared financially. That is why we had a bubble to begin with.


Now.. in regards to Trump. If you are a liberal, then it is QUITE disingenious to wish failure on Trump. Because Trump is far less dangerous to most liberals than his buddy in the wings, Mr. Pence. I'm a moderate and the thought of President Pence makes me physically ill. So when you wish failure upon someone, you really need to pay close attention to who the understudy in the wings is.

a couple of things. Bush was a good dude and seemingly had a good heart but was just dumb as fuck but not as dumb as Trump. Being the POTUS at the bubble burst is not just a matter of him taking the hit as the sitting POTUS he's actually the direct cause of the bubble burst

Iran is a terrorist nation and like it or not they are also major players in this world with oil reserves that are about to further impact the global markets. They are also closely aligned with two Major World powers which is Russia and China. So you just can't say I'm going to take your $400m + interest and not pay your shit back.
