^^^^^ The majority of this country is on a path to self destruction irrespective of who is or will ever be president.
And they need not blame the government. They have only themselves to blame.

I never advocated for equality but I am for equity and that is the governments role; No? Do you know or can you comprehend the difference? Do me a favor and see if you can follow the Progressive logic displayed below as it may benefit you someday in your attempts to be a practical & rational thinker. If you're part of this crowd of Southern Trump supporters that live on government assistance (food stamps, welfare, medicaid, Social Security, etc) this type of "Progressivism" should very well appeal to your sense of logic. ;-)

You clearly don't know or follow Geo-politics and this is what baffles the fuck out of me about you guys. Yall claim to be the ones who know and are "enlighted" but this basic misunderstanding is just odd. Let me walk you through this. Back in the late 70's Iran paid us $400 million dollars for weapons that we never delivered to them. In fact not only did we not deliver them we flat out said we were not going to pay because we didn't like the new government that took power in Iran after the sale. Iran went to the Hague (international court of LAW of which the US is a member Nation) and requested their money back. They've been fighting for it in court since the late 70's. The principal balance was $400 million; add interest and it's now closer to 10 billion owed as of 2016. The US attorney's in the Hauge admonished the US government to settle or else the Hauge was prepared to rule against us and we'd be forced to pay 10 billion over an initial $400M principal. Obama negotiated a 1.7 billion dollar payout. If that's not the Art of The Deal I don't know what is.
Summary is that this was their money to begin with. You guys really need to educate yourselves before you start foaming at the mouth with your Fox News talking points. Not knowing is one thing but being willfully ignorant is something else.
So you have only one white friend and you base your beliefs on an entire race through him?
Again you read what you want to see. Go back and re-read what I said. I said "one" ONE of my white friends and YES many of them espouse the same views about your types. Again it's why I'm in a unique position to see both sides of this because unlike you I have friends of all races including old white men who give me very good advice and young black "thug"s who also give me very good advice. Go figure.
The correct word there would be most of the time.I suppose though that a liberal might thinck that he/she should be given success instead of having to work for it.

Bush was absolutely the sitting President when the housing bubble burst. BUT
Clinton repealed Glass-Steagall and created easy inlets for people who did not have the credit to buy a house to suddenly be able to buy a house, despite being completely unprepared financially. That is why we had a bubble to begin with.
Now.. in regards to Trump. If you are a liberal, then it is QUITE disingenious to wish failure on Trump. Because Trump is far less dangerous to most liberals than his buddy in the wings, Mr. Pence. I'm a moderate and the thought of President Pence makes me physically ill. So when you wish failure upon someone, you really need to pay close attention to who the understudy in the wings is.

For an expert full of passion, there was plenty there to attack.
But for an amateur full if bullshit, maybe not so much.

So that's why the money was in multiple denominations, stacked on pallets, and flow in a secret flight in the dead of night to Iran. Yeah that makes sense to any rational person.
Even if the US did "owe" Iran any money...FUCK THEM. Have you ever hear of the Iran Hostage Crisis? Maybe you need to educate yourself.

I've said it once and I'll say it again (regarding your insufferable ego and arrogance), praise of one's self is its own reward. In a few short months you've managed to turn that tenet into an Art Form of epic proportions.

a couple of things. Bush was a good dude and seemingly had a good heart but was just dumb as fuck but not as dumb as Trump. Being the POTUS at the bubble burst is not just a matter of him taking the hit as the sitting POTUS he's actually the direct cause of the bubble burst
here's an excerpt from the New York Times:
Quote:
From his earliest days in office, Bush paired his belief that Americans do best when they own their own homes with his conviction that markets do best when left alone. Bush pushed hard to expand home ownership, especially among minority groups, an initiative that dovetailed with both his ambition to expand Republican appeal and the business interests of some of his biggest donors. But his housing policies and hands-off approach to regulation encouraged lax lending standards.
Bush did foresee the danger posed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored mortgage finance giants. The president spent years pushing a recalcitrant Congress to toughen regulation of the companies, but was unwilling to compromise when his former Treasury secretary wanted to cut a deal. And the regulator Bush chose to oversee them - an old school buddy - pronounced the companies sound even as they headed toward insolvency.
|
2nd point is that wishing Trump fail is not the same as wishing he die which is the only way Pence gets in. To your point though Trump is a far less demagoge than Pence is.

let me explain to you without insults. First off while saying fuck you to Iran you're not getting your money back may sound sexy to the war hawks its not a solution. You pay the negotiated 1.7 billion or the 10 billion your choice. This is exactly why the international court at the Hauge was set up. If you're a member nation you abide by the rules.
as for your pallets of money in the middle of the night argument I want you to think about why it happened. walk with me for a sec..
Iran is a terrorist nation and like it or not they are also major players in this world with oil reserves that are about to further impact the global markets. They are also closely aligned with two Major World powers which is Russia and China. So you just can't say I'm going to take your $400m + interest and not pay your shit back. Life under any context doesn't quite work that way without consequences not in the hobby world and not on a global scale either
but back to the pallets of money; since Iran is a terrorist nation and was being sanctioned at the time we didn't and don't have financial and banking institutions setup to do business with them. so unless we pay cash money then they're not getting the money. So when I say you guys don't understand I'm not being an asshole because the fact is you dont understand how this works. If you did you wouldnt have posed the question to begin with

that's absurd and patently false. Not arrogant or ego driven. Im very Christ like, sweet, amd humble. I just happen to have alot of facts free ranging in my head. You guys are worse than women with your emotions. If you disagree with someone you fall apart. Not my problem nor do I give a fuck.
