I donate a lot to charity throughout the year. Both cash and time. Giving gifts to friends does not detract from my charitable giving. I enjoy giving gifts, especially if I can personalize them based on my knowledge of the individual. of course, if what that individual would appreciate more than anything else than a charitable gift is the way to go. However, I've known people that were just as happy with a very small personalized gift as they would have been with a diamond necklace.

I love this answer! I am a firm believer in paying it forward whenever possible. Whether it's a simple "have a nice day" to a stranger on the street, volunteering at a foodshelf, serving meals to the homeless, etc... Giving back is an effort I wish more people would make a point of doing. What a lovely world it would be!

It really isn't your spelling that grates on some people's nerves. It is your insistence that there is only one way for ladies to conduct their business, and only one way gentlemen should act.

How about Christmas gift wrapping ribbon?
Can be wrapped around anything/everything,
Known to put smiles on folks faces when both wrapping and unwrapping presents, and,
Easily explained as leftovers regardless of where it's found.

This. I can be generous to charities (and I am) and I can also give gifts to those I consider friends (yes, you can make friends in the hobby, shocking I know). The two are not mutually exclusive.
I don't generally get gifts from clients for my birthday/Christmas because I generally don't work in December.

If a hobbyist wants to give a gift to a gal,a great idea for traveling gals is for him to buy her points on P411
also an amazon gift card is cool for either male or female
I have certain cl;ients that I buy gifts for......if they are married,I usually gift then candy or a Cowboys & Indian magazine od Sports Illustrated..................i f they are single,I will do something personalized to their interest.
I also have gifted some of my gents with souveniers from New Orleans & Mardi Gras beads................I have even gifted a few with a box of Moonpies {which I luv!!} LOL
Fancy--its all about taking care of the gents who take care of you......too many gals beg for money/rent/cars and such to some of these gents,so when a good deed is done for them,it brings encouragemnet to them!

Thanks for this reply. I would only add the providers certainly deserve a special gift from one another as well. Many of us play a key role in looking out for one another on a daily basis. Be it through providing references, exchanging information when they encounter dangerous clients or helping one another with necessities, bills etc. I have been amazed at the "sisterhood" I have experienced & witnessed throughout the years as a provider.
