I don't know how they could sit Dak. He has formed a chemistry with the backs and receivers. He has scrambled from situations were Tony would have turtled or been seriously hurt.

Front office is saying what they are supposed to say: it's Romo's team. OK.

Curious who would catch that.

Now here is the next TinFoil hat theory. Do they manipulate the data to force him to retire? If he retires he loses money. If he takes an injury retirement he retains his signing bonus and gets an injury payout.

Edit to add, if the data clears him to play...

Just keep Dak away from Waka Flaka concerts on spring break and he will be fine. Google/Youtube if you don't get the reference.

I've read what everyone wrote here . I find it intriguing that people is still wanting Dak to start over tony . Don't get me wrong Dak is a fine qb but there are throws that should of been made that Dak didn't make . Example the screen to lance Dunbar should of been a first down if it was thrown correctly . Dak missed Terrance Williams wide open in the middle of the field . Tony would of made those throws .

I catch your drift....no doubt, Tony Romo can (and has) made throws that Dak has yet to show he can make (doesn't mean he can't make them; just means he hasn't done it YET).
But, for argument's sake, let's look at the Big Picture if you really want to compare QB's.

First off, Dak has 4 professional football regular season games under his belt. Romo's played 155 games to date.

In 2006 (Tony's 1st full season) he threw 19 tds and 13 int's. He finished that season hitting 65% of his passes with a 95.1 QB ranking. Overall, not too bad.

On the flipside, Dak might not throw an INT all season (I jest but my point is, he's cognizant of the fact that turn overs are drive killers). To date, he's completed 68% of his attempts and has a sweet 98.5 QB ranking.

Going into the Cincy game this Sunday, the Cowboys are operating with the #2 ranked offense in the NFL (averaging 396 ypg) and are second in the league rushing the ball (149 ypg).

Oh, btw, Dallas also happens to lead the league in 3rd down conversions (50%)....converting a little over 7 of 14 per game thus far. Move the sticks....fresh set of downs....own the clock.

Point is, behind this fine O-line and the #4 pick in the draft toting the ball, Dak doesn't have to turn chicken crap into chicken salad like Romo's been asked to do these past ten years. All he has to do is be efficient, change the play if the defensive alignment calls for it, and most of all: take care of the football.

Romo did not do that particularly well his first two years.....look it up; Tony threw 35 Int's his first two seasons in the league.

As I said before, Dak may set a new standard around here per that particular stat.

But the next hit could mean a wheelchair for Tony. He has shown he cannot take the hits that occur regularly in this new NFL full of QB protection.

First turnover...

Only because blind side didnt hold as well as needed. He still needs a better internal clock on when to get rid of that ball but overall, pretty good again.

Black quarterbacks do not win Super Bowl. Only 2 did it. Prescott odds are stacked against him.

I know what you mean. They do well 1st 4 games, analysts going HOF, he is something special. Not to take anything away, but those are silly comments.
4 to 5 yrs later lets talk on it again. Everyone is in love with Wentz too. Lets see down the road in a few years if they still the media darling on performance.

And Romo never makes bad throws? I think you need to go look at a replay of the Carolina game last year.

I guarantee you all the Cowboys opponents would much rather have Romo start. Much easier to prepare for and much easier to defend.

Dak is already running almost all the same plays that Romo ran and he's throwing the ball great and making great decisions. He's also running the QB read option which Romo would never dream of running. He's also a huge threat to scramble from the pocket.

I don't think even Jerry can screw this one up.
