when I was a kid, we called mexicans "Mexicans", and they called themselves mexicans. and many still do, but it wasn't a term representing an allegiance to a country, merely a descriptive term more than anything


and the term "messkin" was a racial slur then and today it still is and probably more so

there is no equating that with saying coonass


in many of the census questionnaires Hispanics represent themselves as white. and I say bring them in, white people need help and it helps eliminate all the separators
