So you look forward to the end of freedom. Nice. You can't silence them with superior ideas, so you enact laws to keep them silent. You do not deserve to be called an American.

Call me names if you feel better, MouthBrown. That doesn't excuse your antipathy toward Liberty. You want a single party police state. Well, you'll probably get one. I'm going to bet you won't like it, but then it will be too late.

Do some of y'all feel that much hate to want horrible things done to one another? We are all on the same side and all are Americans and it is healthy to have difference of opinions but I'm concerned about how low the level has become. Personally, I believe most people vote on "personality" that they might like better than the opposition, instead of looking at issues that will be forthcoming in this country and voting on them. Unfortunately, today we have a media, big business, big pharma, wall street and many countries outside of these here United States of America that has an agenda as well and will do whatever they have to in order to get/keep their agenda in motion.

Being a registered Libertarian, I am fiscally conservative and socially Liberal (basic premise being, as long as you don't hurt anyone or anyone's property, it should not be the governments business what you do, the government's business is to protect our/US boundaries) that being said I have moved to right due to the Libertarians wanting to shrink military and the removal of military forces from around the world. My belief is, we need a strong military, strategically placed around the world in order to keep or at the very least, stem the flow of the enemy on American soil.

People need to take their own inventory on what is the most important issues to them at this moment in time for this election coming up, again not looking at personalities but by investing a little time into understanding and in forming an intelligent decision from that point.

My order of importance is at this place in time;

Security of our borders first and foremost

Strong military

Picking of SCOTUS

Healthy economy where a man/family can work an honest day's job or two and have home ownership.

Healthcare

1st and 2nd Amendment rights. With both comes responsibility

The Social issues being last in the line of importance if they have any place in the political realm at all, as they have always appeared to be used as a divisive stratagem between both sides.

I hate Hillary Clinton. Even if I was a Democrat, I can't understand how she got the nomination... until I look at my own party and the clusterfuck it has become. The Democrats are no different. They put up a field of subpar candidates and it just so happened that Hillary had the right things going for her at the right time... the backing of the Dems, and the historical aspect of being the first woman nominated for President. Same type of boost that Obama enjoyed being the first black nominated. So she's already got the party leaders behind her and history on her side, and that was enough to beat out any other candidate, even though everyone hates her.

For the GOP... I just shake my head. As much as I hate Clinton, I hate the GOP for nominating Trump and ruining the party just as much. We're going to pay for it too, George Bush may have been right when he said he may be the last Republican President.

So with all that said... I don't hate your average Democrat. We care about different things. Sometimes, we care about the same things. I for one used to work for several large insurance firms... I am FOR Obamacare. Well, maybe not Obamacare, but a system like it, where people can't be denied coverage or dropped by their insurers when they've been paying their premiums faithfully. I've seen how greedy insurance carriers are, and my opinion is that something like healthcare can't be left entirely to market forces. The latest scandal is this Epi-Pen business of raising the price over 400% in the last few years. We do need a national healthcare plan, to keep these pharmaceutical companies and insurance providers in check with how much they charge. So that's one thing I agree with Democrats, something needed to be done, and Obamacare is what we got. Would have been better if Republicans didn't waste so much damn time trying to kill it vs making it better.

As far as guns go, I have several, I don't agree with curtailing rights of gun owners, but I can concede that changes should be made to existing laws where loopholes exist where they shouldn't. I know a lot of Dems feel the same way, but as a party I think they go too far.

Kind of went off topic a bit. But the point is, it's idiocy to pick a political party and think you have to back ALL of their initiatives. Some of them are just plain stupid, and only serve to combat the other party, even if it's a good idea.

That being said, the people I HATE are the people who are too stupid to realize the point above, or who believe in dubious lies they hear about the other party without bothering to check the facts themselves. There's a lot of those people on this board, on forums all over the internet, these are the people who are constantly creating political threads and they never have anything of substance to say. These are the "fringe" members of each party, and we'd all be a lot better off if they just shut the fuck up rather than doing their part to ruin the country.
Awesome post! Thank you.

Your premise is flawed. We have one Trump supporter punch a loud mouth protester but we read about Trump supporters being shot, beaten, egged, cold cocked, chased by mobs, refused service at eateries, nearly run over, and called Nazis and Klansmen by Clinton supporters. This anger and hatred is pretty one sided. We still think that they're fools for putting any faith in the word of a consumate liar.

You need to expand your news sources then, Breitbart isn't giving you the whole story.

There was a story just a couple days ago locally about a family who kept getting their Hillary signs stolen out of their front yard, which then escalated to leaving a threatening note, and then poisoning their dog.

No, there are PLENTY of stories showing the idiots on both sides. You clearly haven't bothered to look.

It appears by your post that you are showing that WK is correct in his supposition. If one reads your article and dissects it, it shows these companies are pulling out because they in effect are "going bust" (hence the reason everyone else's insurance has jumped exponentially since '09).

From your article:
"Aetna estimates it will lose $300 million on the exchanges this year; Humana expects to lose a few hundred million, too. And, the nation's largest insurer, UnitedHealth Group, expects to lose a half of a billion dollars on the exchanges this year. Given the size and scope of these losses, it's easy to see why insurers are curtailing their participation in Obamacare".

From another article:

UnitedHealthcare, Wellcare, and Aetna leaving at year-end

At the end of 2016, UnitedHealthcare will exit the Kentucky exchange, including both the individual and small business (SHOP) exchange. They will also exit the individual market in Kentucky outside the exchange, although they will continue to offer small group plans outside the exchange. 2016 is the first year that United has offered plans in the Kentucky exchange (more details below in the rates section).

United is exiting the individual markets in the vast majority of the states where they currently offer exchange plans. Their announcement did not come as a surprise, as United had already said publicly – in November 2015 – that they might not participate in the exchanges in 2017 due to unsustainable losses.

According to a Kaiser Family Foundation analysis, United’s exit will have and impact on plan availability, since they currently offer plans state-wide. But there are no areas in Kentucky where United offers either of the two lowest-priced silver plans, which tend to be the most popular with exchange enrollees (during the 2016 open enrollment period, 60 percent of Kentucky exchange enrollees picked silver plans).

Wellcare’s website has a notice for marketplace members, letting them know that their coverage will end December 31, 2016, and that they’ll need to enroll in a new plan during open enrollment.

Aetna will exit the exchange in Kentucky, where they offered plans in 10 counties in 2016. But they will continue to offer off-exchange plans in the state.

For all these "impoverished folks' that have to pay for their insurance that does absolutely nothing for them until they have met an astronomical deductible and puts them further into a hole, I say "why did we not just give them the Medicaid that was already in place"? My first thought is Obama wanted his legacy first and foremost with absolutely no thought of "We the People". History will show what that "legacy" will do for him.

I didn't "look" for the ones I saw and Breibart is not my news source like you assume.
