Ok, I quit. I'm getting pointed for saying "Putita" even though Dorthy calls herself and every other female on here whores constantly. In fact, I recall telling her that I found her over-usage of the word offensive.

I am not arguing or being facetious in the following statements, KL. I am sharing my personal experience. We are all just mincing words here.

In South Texas, where I was born and raised, we never used the word "Chicano." The first time I heard the word used more widely was in my freshman year of college in San Antonio (which was several hours north of my hometown). One of my Mexican American government and politics professors used that term. Personally, in my community, we said that we were Hispanic or Mexican. more specifically, I am 2nd generation and 3rd generation Mexican American on my father and mother's sides respectively.

In regards to Spanish curse words, if someone wanted to insult my heritage where I grew up, they may say "pinche mojado," or "fucking wetback," even if I didn't personally cross the Rio Grande.
