Some of the ladies on here are college age or may even have kids in college.
Some guys are in college themselves.
Can you imagine the drama that would cause if a classmate saw the lady's face and spread it around campus what she does? Or tell a friend that his mom's on here?
And sometimes it might be because of a RW job and she needs to be discreet, just like guys need discretion.

Some well experienced ladies have told you why--it is an issue of safety and security. Let's look at just a few things that could go wrong if a lady shows her face.

--Angry, stalking Ex discovers she is now living in Austin after she fled the abusive pig in XXX city. He now knows where to come stalk her. (Happened to the roommate of a lady I saw a few times, and the guy tracked her down and killed her).

--Angry Ex-, or parents, or .... use her web site and photo against her is divorce hearings or child custody hearings. This happens a lot. One lady I know very well lost her two kids last year because her mom & aunt printed her web pictures with face and used them to have her declared an unfit mom.

--There are a lot of jobs besides teaching where if this moonlighting job were to become known it would cause problems. Maybe termination, maybe harassment by boss/co-workers.

--Housing. Plenty of moralistic landlords would use it as reason to evict.

--Some hotels (Mormon owned Marriott chain seems particularly susceptible) will deny rooms or call LE if they recognize a lady from her pictures. Some sick ones do search sites like this to see who posts that they are coming to town and put photos at the check in desk.

--Once on the web, pictures never leave. In the future, after a lady is retired, she might not want her photos there for her then-spouse or kids or in-laws to find.

So, in case you were honestly ignorant, there are some real world reasons.

Name calling... nope Captain obvious is not an insult. Its a quick witted phrase and saying thats been used for many years by people calling out someone for stating something that is blatantly obvious. Please do some research. Its not meant to be warm and fuzzy... obviously!
