1. Reviews give you a good indication of whether a provider has good TCB skills, provides the services she advertises, etc. Do your research and you will almost never get burned. And if there is a RW emergency, the good ones will make it up to you.

2. If there is a new provider, never be the first one out of the chute. I will never TOFTT.

Nope. The last time wasn't a new provider. She'd been around for awhile. Just no new reviews as of late. She just went dark the day of. Not reply to text or PM. The following day received a PM that said it was related to vehicle issues and she'd make it up.

I just said more or less thanks for at least contacting me, even I it was a day later.

In that particular case if I do ever reschedule would it be kosher to bring up the disappearing act and the "make up" offer, or do I leave it up to here to bring it up?

To me if this was the real world I would wait for the the other person to mention it and not bring straight heat to the situation. Though I am reminded this is a business in the end. Act accordingly.

Cancel on me once, no make ups for personal scheduled crap. A rare emergency is easy to figure out and reschedule and will typically happen several hours b4 appointment time. Most excuses mean I will never get to c u again, ever. There is something about shifty excuses that reduces my desire to zero.

Yeah well . . . I was able to see heragain months later and we did a two hour session at her one-hour rate.

She is less active now and in another state. PM me for contact info if you want.

But my point is this, if someone wastes your time, take the steps that are open to you on this forum and let everyone know about it. It doesn't take back having a bad experience, but it is at least some sort of consolation.

My other advice is, if you get to the sesh and something she said she would offer is not actually there/happening, then just leave. That way you at least don't waste your money.

Saying "I will make it up to you" is someone's attempt to defuse a situation, politely tell you something/someone came up, or simply get over on you. Either way it is all part of the hobby game. I am sure a fair number of clients cancel or do a last minute call to reschedule because of traffic/work/SO changed plans/etc. Clients and providers do not owe each an explanation, but a quick text or call to say change of plan would be great. This hobby is a business based on transactions. Too many emotional outbursts and rants based on perceived rejection. I would be mad if I arrived after suffering in traffic only to get a NCNS, so I would make a note to never schedule another visit and keep it moving. I have also done the reverse where I was running late and jammed her schedule since she scheduled a back-to-back and she could no longer see me because of a lack of time. She could very well say F him and never see me. Door swings both ways.
