'STROS 2016!
So, are our summer boys going to do the damn thing and get a playoff spot!? They've been on a roll! Wish they began the season this winning way.
Question #2- Why do the Texas Rangers always beat us? That really grinds my gears! What is the formula to beat them?

I predict 90 wins and a wild card, and sometimes one team just owns another in sports, Cleveland is 11-0 vs Detroit this year.

This guy pitching for the A's has a ridiculous curve, his name is Hill, would love to grab him in free agency.

Sorry guys, just now saw this thread. Busy 4 day work week - it's been crazy.
Ya, the team is on a hot streak at the moment. But you can't forget April. Pretty much the same guys......
I always look at the flip side. If they keep this streak going, Jeff and Jim (I can call them by their first names on this site as they don't know who I am here), are going to seriously try and trade for another starting pitcher AND a position player who hits for average. The cost? Even more of the bounty of prospects that we obtained for enduring those 3 seasons of having to watch minor league ballplayers at MMP. They have already traded some of them and there aren't really that many really good looking ones left. Careful what you wish for, guys.
Gomez has finally starting hitting. Keuchal seems to have found his groove (SEEMS). Valbuena oddly started hitting when the Astros promoted Bregman to Fresno!
Lots of things to consider, but I truly hate to see them trading away guys that we, as a city of fans, had to endure just to get them.
Have a great day. See you at the park tonight and tomorrow.
Out.

Holy Toledo, what a way to finish.
Fuck the Rangers. Odor is a piece of shit and Bannister looks like a child molester and their fans are the biggest bunch of bang wagoners than any team has ever had.

Hey bbkid, I think the Giles trade could come back to bite us in the ass worse than it already has, and Bregman should not be part of any trade. My memory does not serve me on what we gave up to get Gomez and Fiers, but I favor building from within.

Ha ha! Boy, did y'all ever let this thread fizzle out, huh?
Don't even get me started on that yahoo's previous comments on who's fan base bandwagons more than the other....I saw that weak turnout at the Juice Box last night (oh, btw, a sweet 3-2 come-from-behind victory in the 9th inning). Ha ha!
Have you H-towners gotten a bellyful of RANGERS DOMINATION yet? Too bad there's only one game left.....Ha ha!
Oh! Love that SI cover / article (Mar 22, 2016) that picked the Astros over the Cubs in the WS. Ha ha! Yeah, that was the Kiss of Death for the 'stros, huh?
Considering y'all gotta crawl over the Jays, O's, Yankees, Tigers and Mariners just to get a WC spot......well, not lookin' too good today, huh?
So...have fun with Darvish tonite, kiddies. Win or lose (being the Rangers have a 15-3 edge this season on H-town), we'll send ya a postcard....from the PLAYOFFS! Ha ha!

Yeah, and you're such a fan of the game (oh wait, I think they call y'all "fair weather fans, huh?) that you didn't know he was scratched late last night! ???
I fuckin' love wannabe sports fans. They're like a furry ball to a kitten.

Sorry pal....I'm afraid you have the wrong guy.
I, myself, have been a Rangers fan Day One the franchise moved from DC in '72 (and Ted Williams was still managing them).
As many other loyal fans of the team, I too have attended a lotta crappy Ranger games over the decades (yet) continued to support them nonetheless. So missing tonight's announced scratch (of Yu Darvish) hardly qualifies one as being "fair weather".....you may want to check what that term actually means before throwing it around as such.
So....that said....good luck to the 'stros in 2017. Oh, by the way, the fans in Dallas will surely appreciate y'all's support and encouragement should we make it to the World Series! Many thanks in advance.
