Start collecting autographed sports memorabilia. Go down to Academy and buy a $15 football and sign JJ Watt's name on it and put it in a protective glass case. Tell wifey it's worth 500 but you picked it up for only 250, when you really spent the money banging your favorite provider's brains out. Only use cash. Not only will your so not get mad she'll be happy that you bought something that can be sold later for a profit. You could fill up a whole room with fake shit you bought to launder your hobby money.

Another upside is if she ever divorces you and files to gain possession of your valuable collection you'll get the last laugh knowing it's just a bunch of worthless crap.

Seriously, if you have to resort to these shenanigans to bang some strange then you need to just stop playing in this hobby. It is sad to read these posts and realize the effort that some of you are putting in on this.

I'm sorry you're in this situation though. I could imagine it would be hard to move money around with out your SO finding out. You could leave her or just "go on trips with your buddies more" or actually do that and take out more money then you spend on the trips and pocket it to spend with some sexy young thang.

she's right ....use your head, maybe help out an old "friend of yours" a vet who's down on his luck, he may or may not pay you back ....but your conscience made you loan the imaginary friend enough to see Heaven^^^^^^

Well, pardon my morality but I am a strong believer in joint accounts once married. If your SO took over its probably coz she can't explain why u r always broke and wants to see it or she already knows and this is what she has decided to try out to see if it's gonna change u. If u intend to stay married, get a new hobby to prove where the cash has been going to. It has to be something innocent like expensive lunches and late night snacking, gambling is always a good one (maybe not in texas). Just find something.

On future, I recommend u convince her you both need a spending account that is not monitored and then budget your hobby activities based on how much is there.

This reminds me of how easy it is to hobby when u r single. On the flip side, when I get married, I will not hobby again.

I am interested in knowing the outcome? I do believe in this case honesty would be the best policy. She took over the finances for a reason; perhaps OP was not as careful as he thought. If he continues, she may confirm it and then divorce is right around the corner. A woman just doesn't changer her mind about how finances are done unless there is a legit concern over something. Did she state why? Were some bills not getting paid? There had to be some discussion. There had to be a motive. I hope the OP fills us in...
