I just never thought that most rational people would find 3:58 am to be a resonable contact time, given the fact she had almost 12 hours to confirm me and give me a thumbs up.
Ha, my favorite was that she could have assumed I was working a grave yard shift. Ok, it appears I was expecting too much out of a $500 an hour provider. Lesson learned. No difference between the $60 for 15 minute trash and the $500 an hour providers.

Knowing that, a hobbyist should do his best to safeguard from something like this occurring. It is his prerogative to use his regular phone. Yeah, while it's not normal to be receiving texts at early hours of the morning, it's also not that unexpected, especially if you've been in communication with someone in this industry where people are known to be up at odd hours.

As YM pointed out, there's technology on many phones that allow you to filter what calls/texts you receive at different hours. It's on the owner of the phone to use it.

I waste more time logging in and out to answer pm's, 1 or 2 pm's to verify is enough then I rather call and (depending who is around) text. I don't know about your circles, but my hobby phone doesn't get in the way. It turns off at a certain time and on at a certain time. I'm not a around the clock provider, and although I'm quite open-minded I'm not all inclusive. My hobby phone doesn't define who I am and the quality of service that I offer! I still pick and choose who I see.

Perhaps she said $500 an hour thinking he wanted the appointment in the a.m. instead of the p.m.? It may have been miscommunication. If I do a 4a.m. call it better be worth my while, and I would throw out a number like that as well!

Same here : Phone is on & off at a certain time.
I never text or call after 5pm, unless the gentlemen makes it clear that it's okay.
I'm an early riser 6,7am but return calls after 9am
My phone number is published for the Gentlemen's convenience & they appreciate it.
