His interpretation is accurate. Paraphrasing is allowed. Always has been. We just aren't allowed to directly post private messages, texts, screenshots, or any other form of communique directly. However, if someone claims you sent a message that you did not send, you can easily report it and have that verified via the proper channels here, so there is a "checks and balances" to it all.

I'm wondering why a Mod doesn't step in with the "official ruling" on the matter, because that is not even close to what the "rule" says.

I guess that's why it's called "Private Message" .... ?

"Reporting" to a mod is not the same as disclosing the content of PM's.
