When I was boating down a tributary in Alaska, the guide told me that thousands of years prior to our little trip, ice had been 200 feet above the point we where then. It had melted way back when, also.
Additionally, ice glaciation events of the last 120,000 years show fluctuations in excess of 25 degrees, prior to mankind even being here. So, the very climatologists using the ice cores have essentially created a statement against their interests of proving man made global warming, when our current warming is an order of magnitude less than the highest amplitude apparent in the historical ice core record.
We cannot justify spending billions to attempt a poor mitigation of an unproven concept....
