When Nixon was president the Law and the Constitution still meant something. Nixon made a big mistake and paid dearly for it, and rightly so. Funny you should bring that up because that was the last comment of the program. They showed an old tape player being turned on and said something to the effect that Nixon remembered the brutal lesson taught to him by the Kennedy brothers. Of course we were talking about Nixon in 1960 and not Nixon in 1972. You can't tell the difference which is your problem but I hear they have a shot to cure that now.

So Nixon started out with intentions of following rules and fairly quickly turned into a criminal, good for him. He deserved to be chased out of office with his tail between his hind legs. and he's still a hero to conservatives.
