Where are the best gun shops in DFW?
Mods feel free to delete this thread, but the audiences are gauged and aimed for the gents and hobbyist on this board. Please no pimps (I respect da game and know it ain't easy).
I really miss Bachman Guns with their 90 day layaway. I'm not much of a fan of the Cabalas come every week to make a payment option and find the time to drive all the way to Addison. Any intel would be greatly appreciated. I've been a customer of Jackson armory in University Park, but the aren't prone to layaways. Kind of think Rays Guns in Dallas has gentleman agreements on possible layaways.

You may wish to check out Grabagun in Coppell. They have several payment options as well as daily email special offerings that are often blowout prices.

I like
http://gungeartogo.com/ in Plano
knowledgeable guys, good selection, lay away, used guns. I've bought about 6 guns there.
I also like
Mister Guns
2751 W 15th St, Plano, TX 75075
(214) 901-7429
I haven't bought any guns there, but they do have a cash discount and great selection.

I go all the time to guns at Dallas Market Center and Forth Worth. Me personally - I never really liked them, because the best you can do is knock of $20 bucks from the cash price.
I have seen some good deals off of the individual sellers walking the exhibit. I equate the buying experience kind of like the hobby. If I'm going to drop a pretty penny - I need a little intimate setting. Not a whole bunch of dudes walking the aisle seeing if I'm going to buy the damn gun.
That's why I like going to a shop. The Beretta Gallery in Highland Park will let me set a appointment to look at guns.
What the hell am I saying. I'm just buying a gun and not making love to it. Just my two cents.

Gun shows and Gunbroker may show you a lot of inventory but I have been worse off than retail at Bass Pro on several guns from the shows and online.
NIB at gun shows is ok, and if they'll clip the zip tie and let me check the action (I have been known to carry headspace and feeler gauges, and to look up spec's on a smart phone) then maybe ok.
If I find something online from a shop that's been around and offers a 3 to 7 day inspection/return period and takes CC I'll go for that. Otherwise I'll just pass on the deal.
Local shops, I really like Gunmaster, Alpine, Elk Castle.

Found a store this afternoon that I've never been in before, Riflegear http://www.riflegear.com.
It's on Windhaven, just off the tollway in NW Plano. They've been open about a year and have very good selection of black rifles and pistols (most major brands.)

Not trying to hijack your thread but I will throw out that I deal in non lethal self defense. If you have a need for a taser, pepper spray, or stun guns PM me.
New Taser Pulse is out and I can get it to you for $375.

SWFA in Midlothian usually has some good deals. They also carry some hard to find items as well as optics. Just depends on what your looking for. Last time there walked in and they had just got a shipment of KELTEC PMR 30's and were $419.00 looked on gunbroker could not find one for less than $500.00 and that the first in stock I had ever seen. So you just never know.
