The gullibility of the American electorate reached its tipping point in the 2008 presidential election; the Trump phenomenon merely confirms that pathetic reality.

It is amazing how the Republican party with 8 years to prepare for this opportunity can have 17 candidates, and then allow someone like Trump to hijack their party with no specifics. Everything is going to be GREAT!! lol

When college becomes free the educations will be worth just exactly what the students pay for them. That education bubble is going to be a mother fucker when it bursts.

A lot of people tend to overlook this. Money was not a problem then unless you were Biggie Smalls.

Yep, when you are scared to do what the people elect you to do you are scared of anything that messes with their nests.

The Republican establishment wants things to remain as they have always been whether they win or not. The emergence of a faction of the electorate commonly referred to as the TEA party messed up their nest and rather than adapt the nest they are trying desperately to restore the nest to what it was.

Democrats expect their politicians to lie to them and accept it. Not so much for the Republicans and the lash back is what breeds a Trump type candidate. The fact that an avowed socialist is giving Hillary a run for her money shows where the Democrat party lines fall. This is nothing new but often denied by the party as they state they are not the socialists or communists we know them for by their actions. I surmise that the Republican establishment is deathly afraid the libertarian leaning and out right libertarians will further infiltrate their party much like the socialists and communists have done with the Democrat party.

The fact that many Republicans are so disgusted with the people that they elected they will accept somebody like Trump just because he has never held office and thus should not be corrupted by the political machine. I think that Trumps price will be far less than his supposed wealth.

Nothing from the government is free, somebody is borrowing the money to pay for it.

Trump thinks like a business man not a politician. He deals with politicians in his private life like a business man. He spreads his wealth on both side in order to have a chip when he needs it. He doesn't deny this.

Trump is taking a play from the Obama playbook if you ask me. He's not calling it hope and change, he's calling it make America great again. People are buying in but they aren't asking how. The devil will be in the details.

I don't think Trump will have a high price at all. He will bring everything to the table when it comes negotiation time including the things that conservatives and liberals alike hold sacred in their respective ideologies.
Would Trump give up some gun control to repeal and replace the ACA? I don't think anything is off the table.

I don't know how he will handle the crybabies in Congress though. He's used to both sides coming to the table looking to close a deal and gain something even if that means cutting losses. Walking away is always an option but not the desired one. Politicians come to the table many times looking to walk away in order to tell their constituents that they held their ground. That's the ultimate win for a politician. How does Trump deal with a petulant Congress, send his goons to make them an offer they can't refuse?

Conservative voters are fed up with the Republican party, thus the emergence of the TEA party. Trump represents another faction of anti establishment. Cruz would be leading were it not for Trump but as much as he claims to be the outcast he still is a politician.

Sad fact is, as several have already said, both parties have had 8 years to find two good candidates out of 100 million (or so) eligible people and this is what it comes down to.

I wish one candidate would offer up a plan on installing term limits on Congress. I might be able to get behind them on that basis alone.

I will, though, laugh my fucking ass off if Hillary finally gets or gets close to the nomination and her legal situation turns to shit right as the wind fills her sail.

That would be hilarious.

Another hilarious, but sad, scenario is if stoopid America actually elected her after she is indicted. I wonder if this process accounts for who-knows-what kind of scenarios could be imagined and play out.

Bill Clinton- Playboy genius!
LMAO...that's pretty diabolical. I don't think even "Slick Willie" is this clever or he would've given his better half the keys to the kingdom 8 years ago.

Nice conspiracy theory tho...I'm actually enjoying this Trump phenom, chickens coming home to roost.

I find it amusing that people think Donal Trump made his fortune on his own with his own money.
He puts together deals where he gets people to invest, you have heard that word before from the current president, in his schemes and makes money off of the deal using other peoples money. This is why he is seldom hurt when his ventures fail and there have been many.
Who is left holding the bag when his deals fail, the "investors" or what we would call tax payers.

The fact remains, if he is such a good businessman he would have a business plan and it would contain more than just we are goig to make America great. If I were an investor, I would ask where the plan is before I even considered investing. I see no plan. Try to go to the bank and tell them you want to get them to invest in you and that you ahve a great product that will make millions. "When they ask you what that product is all you can tell them is that it is a great product and it will make millions. My guess is you would walk outg empty handed and not be granted a second meeting.

Of course, fraud and being swindled is a normal American thing. It happens on a daily basis where people are suckered into deals that are "great". Ponzi schemes and such. I ask , haven't you been swindled enough to not be able to see a swindler n action. I suppose that there are those that so desperately hope that this time the person can be believed and will fill the empty promises and claims. I just do not think it is Trump.

Vote for Trump and prove that there is a sucker born every minute and two to take em.

People that thinck they are intelligent are acting like sheep because they actually believe that he can make everything better because he is not one of "them".

Listen to what the man actually says and then listen to how he says he is going to do it. You will hear one but not the other.

Anybody that believes that this man can do something to make things better or that he will somehow magically restore our government to it's constitutional roots are not only drinking but practicing in the delivery of the KooAide.

I will say this, he is rallying the stay at home and sit on their hands people that are too jaded to actually put a valid thought into the process of electing a person to operate our government.

Sine JEB! has wasted his donors money and quit, the establishment is scurrying to pull Rubio into the establishment fold more deeply than he currently resides. They know he can be bought and his price is not very high. Expect the party money to flow to Rubio since the establishment has no control over Cruz and his price seems to be loses affordable than Rubio's.

Now if you are a Democrat, I am sorry for you. You get to pick between an idiot and a criminal. With one you know what you are getting, a lesbian that has no issue with being a cuckold just as long as she doesn't have to have anything to do with it (its an aversion to dicks even though she married one).

Me personally, I am going to make my decision on election day of the primaries. I do not hold out much hope for this nation and feel we are rapidly approaching full scale idiocracy.

Well said 2 Dogs
