Ridiculous comparison. Hard-on pills are NOWHERE near being the same issue. She's just trying to make a "point".
I have always found it curious that the real determining factor for if the fetus is a human or simply tissue, is if the Mother WANTS the fetus or not. If a pregnant woman is murdered, the perp is usually charged with two murders, but if it's terminated with the Mother's permission, then it's just tissue removal and not killing.
After I actually saw ultra sounds of my own kids, I couldn't imagine thinking they were anything but babies. Show the women about to suck out that "tissue" an ultra sound and see how they feel about it. Not going to happen of course.
I've had tissue removed. I didn't need counseling after. A fetus is not just "tissue".
I realize there are financial implications to low-income pregnant women and they feel they wouldn't give the baby a good life. Killing doesn't sound like a great solution to some one not having a "good life". There ARE other options, of course, but it's just easier, quicker, and better for the mom and certain political interests to just go ahead and suck it out of there.
(BTW - I'm NOT a very religious person. It's not a religious issue at all for me.)

I believe every woman should have a choice since we obviously do not all have the same beliefs.

Just look at how some posters got upset because of a threat to their access to Viagra. Now put yourself in a woman's shoes and thinck about all the meddling gets done in their health issues.

for what it's worth, IMHO, Albundy did a very good job of explaining the issue (on abortion and the murder - the intentional killing - of a human being in her mother's womb)...
Cummings (and others) on that side of the issue choose to not agree and would term it something more palatable like 'pregnancy termination' or 'a womans right to choose'. I understand that both beliefs may be strongly held - but I side with AlBundy on this one... Current law may enable a woman to choose - but the reality is that she carries two lives into the abortion clinic - and if all is successful - she leaves with only her own.
...but back on Viagara... that's a wholly different issue...

The law that covers this was nicknamed "Laci's and Conner's Law" was in reaction to a murder of a woman who was SEVEN months along. There's world of difference between a fetus and a child that would have had a chance of survival if born prematurely. Babies are living at 24 weeks now. Personally, I fully support a woman's choice in the first trimester.
After I actually saw ultra sounds of my own kids, I couldn't imagine thinking they were anything but babies. Show the women about to suck out that "tissue" an ultra sound and see how they feel about it. Not going to happen of course.
Umm...In some states they do show you an ultrasound. They take an ultrasound to determine how far along a woman is. If your mind is changed by being confronted by an image, you aren't making the right decision for yourself and you really shouldn't go through with it. You don't need a doctor to preform the ultrasound and they do this before the procedure to confirm you aren't too far along to even get an abortion.

Al, I'm just super happy a pro-life proponent on the internet is being respectful.

^^^
On this point, I would TOTALLY disagree with you. I see the baby as being alive in the first trimester. I don't see "a world of difference".
But, your opinion is every bit as valid as my own. It's a touchy subject to say the least. Like most things, it usually isn't black or white, or cut and dry. Abortion as a form of "Whoops" birth control, I'm against it totally. I'm not religious, it just seems like killing to me no matter how I look at it. Obviously, not everyone sees it that way.
I don't think the issue will ever truly be resolved. One side views at as murdering a child (kind of hard to see the other side's point of view when you believe that.) The other side believes the Government is intruding into a woman's body and making medical decisions for her. (Also, hard to see the other side's view if you believe that. Also, to agree with the other side, and you've had an abortion, would be basically admitting to killing your own child. Ain't gonna happen.)
