The nation will be flooded with illegals, entitlement payments will go through the roof, our debt will get even worse (if that is possible), and everything you hold dear will be GONE.

But in your twisted mind, this narcissistic blowhard is going to save the country. How? If he somehow manages to toss out half of the illegals (which would be great, IMO), what is he going to do to generate jobs and hold down debt?

Do you really think the Democrats and the rest of the GOP is going to pass anything this asshole wants?

You don't even know what a globalist is. Stop using words you don't understand, hillbilly.

I am the LEAST globalist person there is. I don't give a rat's ass about nation-building, I despise open borders, I think we need to cancel about half of our so-called "free trade" agreements that are going nothing but gutting the middle class, and we need to scrap H1B visas and other immigration scams.

But Trump will get NONE of that done. He is a blowhard ignoramus that inherited his money from his daddy and financed the rest in a booming NY real estate market. He is a LANDLORD, not an entrepreneur.

If you want someone who is NOT a globalist, vote for Cruz. He may not be likable either, but at least he is smart and has a chance at achieving something - anything - even if it is just small progress.

I'm not a Trump fan, but how can you say that? Trump is only slightly trailing Hillary in national polls right now. It's way too early to say he would lose to her, let alone in a landslide. The only safe prediction is that a Trump-Clinton matchup would be the ugliest mud-sling-fest in American political history. If you like negative campaigning, then it's exactly what you would hope for.

Actually he's a builder, not just a landlord. Landlords collect rent. Builders crack heads to come in under budget and ahead of schedule. Those are skills that the federal government has never been forced to learn. If Trump had listened to his daddy, he would never have set foot in Manhattan, where you have to deal with crooked politicians and libtards and Mafia-controlled unions and hustlers and sharks to get anything done. Trump has plenty of flaws but at least I still give him credit where it's due. Why do you hate him - did he outsmart you on a real estate deal? Is that why you left New York?

No. I have never preferred that, JL. I believe that policy should be developed to consider the needs of all stakeholders, not just one or the other. Often there are no clearly defined policy options.

However, since the rise of the Tea Party, the "conservatives" have worked to create a country made up of only their policies, and have been unwilling to consider any other options or even engage in honest debate. Perhaps that's why Congress has gotten so much done in recent years.

BTW -- when did compartmentalizing policies into "either one or the other" ever produce any honest discourse in this country, or in this forum for that matter?

Maybe you "Americans" ought to open your minds a tad.

I hope you are wrong about Mr. Trump, but suspect you are right, as usual. If the negatives get too high his only hope is turning out people who like him, and their aren't enough of us left.

We need the Supreme Court more than anything else, so we have to elect a closet conservative, not the entertaining but divisive Mr. Trump.

Let me preface my remarks by saying that I'm not JL.

The problem with your seemingly reasonable post asking for compromise it that giving in has led us down the path from a great country in the 1950's to this mess we have now. Hardworking, taxpaying people get a raw deal relative to those living off the dole.

While many of the pro-corporation policies of the Republican party benefit the rich at the expense of the poor, and I wish we could change that, the Republicans and conservatives get slammed for being uncaring and hateful when they try to pass rational policies to incentivize work and penalize bad behavior.

When we try to stop the anti-white policies of the government, we get accused of backwardness and hatefulness and racism. At some point, you have to say "fuck it" we're going down the drain, let's make a last stand for what we want, or die trying. Even if we fail, at least we will cause some pain to those that hate us, and want to destroy everything we loved about this once great country.
