Do view counts accurately portray how many different people view a thread?

You know it's amazing me that some people measure their self worth by the number of view counts on threads that they and their buddies are the only ones clicking on and no one cares about in the big picture. I think it has played on the minds and confidence levels of some of the women who were attacked by these people. Fortunately with this news nobody should take their attacks seriously ever again on this board.

I agree that a lot of posting activity can have that affect...... But a lot does depend on who the members posting are.....

You for example and your buddy Dante..... go back and forth with each other ad nauseam..... But simply can't stack up any views or interest as displayed with the dozens of threads you start that go no where..... you lack relevance if Sl , Rocker Rick or myself does not humor you....

But some threads are void of activity for months or years and grow in views.....
