Great movie. Did you know that they had to put a real door for the ax scene? Jack Nicholson was a volunteer fire marshal and got through the prop door too quickly.

Shelley Duvall was actually pretty stressed out by Kubrick and on the verge of a breakdown
during the filming, a lot of what you see from her in the film wasn't exactly acting.
