Why so quiet?

Hi, I'm not real active here but try to update and advertise occasionally.

I bought a home recently, one that is located in a discreet area near major roadways. I have been in business for over 5 yrs. and this is my 3rd location doing so.

For some reason, business has been slow. Scary slow. Usually I enjoy nice clients and alot of repeat business. But lately, some of the clients have been terrible and I don't hear from my past clients as much as I used to. I just automatically assumed when I moved into my beautiful new getaway pad, that I would be busy entertaining happy guys and that everything would be great.

But no. I stay away from eccie because the reviews really turn me off. Guys will read the oldest ones and assume that is exactly what is in store. People change, menus change and one learns to get to know someone over a few visits to find that chemistry. Sometimes you get lucky and it's fireworks from the very start, but real life happens and it's not always as perfect as you would like. I am very much a realist, which is why I don't lie in my ad about my age and my pictures are up to date as of a week old.

Backpage only takes pre paid credit now, you have to mail a payment in order to advertise. You can advertise free, but your ad gets placed on the very bottom of the list. Use up your credit and you have to wait until they get the next payment U.S. snail mail.

Is the hobby economy slowing down or am I just going thru a rough patch? I would love some new business!

Congrats on your new home. It is just the client market you are in and possibly the change in your menu, as you indicated, that probably reduced biz.

I would suggest doing some research. Read the reviews (I know you can't read the ROS) but the activities, rates and other visible info is useful. Check out the ISO (in Search of) forum, see what guys are wanting and looking for. Adjust accordingly to your comfort level.

Get some reviews in. Some guys are unsure of the level of activity for the donation given. So, they may just pass over you all together.

Reviews may turn you off, but they are some of the best tools to can use to gain repeat biz.

You know your biz, is a service oriented biz. Find out what your clients want and give it to them, while getting your donations. Good Luck

I read thru some of my old reviews and I want to erase them. Some reviews are poorly written, or were written back when I was at a point in my life where I was learning and let someone take advantage of me. I have toughened up alot and learned to take control of my sessions, not the other way around.

That being said, I have learned that I am a bit of a control freak and like to be in charge of my own affairs. I have found in the time since that some of the things mentioned in my reviews have been used against me, the information and the predatory nature of some men.

To me, reviews are nothing more than locker room bragging rights. The majority of men who make the best clients have no posts or reviews to their name. They generally pay attention to what I say and how I present myself. They tell me this time and time again.

I am blessed with great health and good looks and good luck in general. My finances on the other hand tend to be hit or miss, I pay my bills but I don't have much more to count on. Sometimes my business is great and sometimes it's not so great. But the fact that I have managed to support myself for this long doing so keeps me going.
