This is what I like to do. I'm easy to screen (p411) so that's usually fast.
If I am seeing my regular I can give 30 minutes notice.
If it's somebody new I like to get pre-screened and set a tentative appointment a few days out but confirm it the afternoon before (I usually do weekend morning appointments). Then confirm the morning of about an hour before our scheduled time.
In my experience if you try to plan (and actually count on it) too many days out something always comes up.
But just like everything else both providers and clients have their preferences.

That's been my preferred practice for years, too, LA. Short-notice tends to be easier with ladies once you've met. In fact, I encourage them to text me if they see me online and find themselves with free time...never know when both of us are available, and it would be a shame to pass on those opportunities!

9 times out of 10, I'm Mr RIGHT...NOW. To be fair to the lady, that 'now' is 2 hours or under.
That's some prep time, yes.
As far as days out preplanning goes, I don't know how I'm going to feel on Monday, or a Wednesday. I might not even be in the mood by then. Hell, I might have to work late, or fix my car, or have the sniffles.
Oh, but if I cancel, I lose $100...or whatever fees are these days.
But it's hard to cancel on some RIGHT NOW, though.
Speaking of right now, who's in the mood to get pounded??

I prefer 2 hours to 2 weeks notice. P411 makes it a lot easier for short notice appointments unless I have already screened you ahead of time.

Because I don't always know my schedule in advance, I do both short notice (2-4 hrs) and pre-booking (anywhere from a couple days up to a week in advance). I rarely have had trouble with short notice being NCNS. I almost always run into problems with appointments a few days out. I guess I'm not contacting the right providers for pre-booked appointments?
Many of the short notice providers I've seen tend to post availability "24/7" or have a block of time set aside during the day. With the latter group, I almost never run into difficulty if I make an appointment within that block of time. I tend to have more problems with the 24/7 crowd for short notice calls, but even then it's less often than the pre-booked appointments. The 24/7s have often run very, late (15 min to 45 min) without communicating well about it. I'm not going to fault someone for having one of those days. It happens. What really upsets me is when the provider sends out empty excuses rather than really letting me know what's happening. But a couple minutes after the agreed upon time is no big deal.

I think my preferences are probably the hardest for providers. When I plan on hobbying, I like to schedule at least 4-5 days in advance, which, as many have already pointed out, can cause some TCB issues. I almost never see a lady I haven't seen before scheduling this way anymore, because I'd say at least half don't show or cancel 20 minutes before the appointment. I'm also not the kind of guy that sets two appointments as a "Plan B". So I keep my pre-arranged appointments to ladies I have a history with.
Then sometimes there's just that "I have to fuck right now" feeling. I'm a guy, it can't be helped. It's hard to set up sometimes, but this is where I will try a new girl just because she is available.

I prefer to schedule 24 hours in advance and honestly could schedule a session a month or two out with absolutely no issues TCB on my end.
I'm very organized and reliable, and unless the sky falls or the zombie apocalypse happens my calendar changes very little.
I do take short notice as well, but the shorter the notice the less prepared I am. For example, I'm a squirter but if I let myself get dehydrated it's not as dramatic...I tend to push myself very hard at work and will skip breaks, forget to eat and drink, and stay a few minutes over if I have nothing scheduled...So then if someone contacts me at 6 p.m. for a 7 p.m. session I'm not physically capable of performing at my best.
You can see how even just 4 - 6 hours notice makes all the difference for someone like me.

What kills me is guys who want same day appointments without p411 or pre screening in advance... Do u know how hard it is to get some of these girls to respond? Especially within an hour or two, most of the time it just does not happen.

Preach!
I'm hit or miss with short notice. I prefer advanced booking. As Jules said, screening becomes an issue at times. But then there are times like this morning, when I am surprisingly available for a few hours and nothing to do.

Some things work greatly when they're preplanned. A party. A wedding. A dinner. Car repairs.
Some things need spontaneity. I get it if we're in separate towns and I'm flying in for a meeting or a game or convention or something. Yeah, seeing you at say, 2pm on Friday sounds great. But if we're in the same city, 20 minutes from each other, why do I need to wait 3 days to see you?

Maybe because we also have real lives and schedules to maintain and we aren't just sitting at our Incall waiting for emails all day with full hair and makeup.
What provider do u know that can shower, do full hair and makeup and drive to her Incall in 20mins?

Hell, I can't pack up my office, forward my phone and travel to a lady's incall in 20 minutes. I think I can give 'em at least a half-hour to get ready.
In all seriousness, even my short notice appointments tend to be 1-2 hours after making arrangements.

I didn't mean we actually needed to be going at it in 20 minutes. What I meant was, if you live in Irving and I live in Arlington, it should't take 3 days for us to make something happen.
I get it that setting up the appointment, shower, getting dressed, and traveling, and other setting up stuff takes more than 20 minutes. That's what I saying in the other post about a couple of hours....or trying to. I'm saying, it shouldn't take days for appointments to happen, particularly when there's a level of board presence that's already in place. I've been on this board for 5-6 years, post ASPD. Do you really need 2-3 days to 'research' me, considering my post history, past reviews, etc?
I'm not trying to dismiss ladies' comfort process of screening. For those of us that have been here for years, you'd think there'd be some 'prescreening' or some kind of gloss over screening already done.

I wonder if it would be easier to just pick out 5 potential provider you think you'll want to play with on your next visit, and have them just go ahead and verify you already.
That way (days or weeks/months) down the road, you'll have the verification part all sorted out.
