No, don't count on it. If you got a certified letter, it is hard to ignore. If not you can ignore it, and claim that you never received it if summoned to explain.

You can also just go. Chances getting picked for jury duty are slim.

Since I don't have a pimp or agency to think for me, I would prefer not to deal with jury duty. I have invested nonrefundable money in this tour and would rather tour then be a guilty person trying to judge the guilty.

If it came in the mail with just regular postage.....ignore it this time.....they will send another. If it came with signature confirmation or any certification......don't ignore it.

But like Annie says it is our civic responsibility along with voting. In the 3 times I've been called for jury duty I've only been selected for a trial once.....two weeks.... and I loved every minute of it......the last two times i didn't even get up to bat!!!

If you can't go........claim you never received it......or you checked your mail hella late. Worry about it after. That's an undue hardship financally. You shouldn't have to place upon yourself if you don't have to.

You can usually tell then you're self employed and you'll be out of town and ask them to reschedule you for a later date.
