It really isn't a matter of that. It's a matter of doing it so you don't raise red flags with her unnecessarily. If you have been with your s/o for a long time and you have never shaved your balls before, but suddenly start, she's going to wonder why. It's going to set off alarm bells. You can most definitely do what you want since it is your body, but you can also get her suspicious by your method, and she is going to start paying attention to everything else you do to see if anything else validates that suspicion.

If you want to use the comparison of telling her how she looks... what if she dressed a certain way for years, then all of a sudden started dressing up, looking a lot better, just out of the blue? You would wonder why. You would wonder "Is she doing this for me, or is there maybe someone else to cause this sudden change?"

That's why I mentioned before to bring it up to her, that you read something online about the sanitary advantages or how it can spice things up with a marriage. That way she knows ahead of time and can give her input. Once she gives the OK, then there are no red flags, no suspicions.

Honestly, don't do anything that draws attention to the fact you might be playing on the side. If she suspects, odds are she'll snoop. And definitely try including her in the process.

I like a trimmed top with shaved balls, just my preference. This might be easier to explain. Plus, shaving the top always leaves ugly red bumps

This is what I did. I just told her all of sudden hair was really starting to irritate me and I was going to see a doctor about it. I did go to the dr, but for something else. After the dr visit, I gave it a buzz cut and told her the dr recommended I trim it down. She thought it was weird but she bought it. My next move will be a shave, but Im not there yet.

I think this is it. And it's what I do. It's a subtler difference. The suggestions that 'trimming' cuts down on summer rashes, or something, sounds good.

Probably off topic, but why the need to suddenly go 'bald'? Because the 21-year old providers like it? If you have to go this far—also mentioned here—you have to make it appear like your SO is in on it.

As I have mentioned numerous times I love the hair on a lady but recently went shaved for me because I know most of the ladies like it ----- and my excuse to the SO. (Maybe too much info, but ---) If you have prostrate problems there is the potential for numerous little accidents during the day. So, after a visit to my urologist I told the SO, he said I had a tiny rash caused from those accidents and that if I shaved it wouldn't be so bad.

BTW - I did find another benefit from shaving ----- MAKES MY DICK LOOK BIGGER!!!!!

As I mentioned in opening, My FWB specifically requested it. No she's not a 21yr old provider. I've never had a provider request this, but not sure I'd do it for someone I hadn't seen much. I'd do it for the SO if she asked, but I doubt that's going to happen. Not sure how to hint for her to ask about it, so I'm going to think about that some.

I also like the idea of just trimming above and shaving further down. I'd like to use one of the medical explanations, but it would have to be very plausible as the SO is in the medical field.

I've been trimming closely and shaving the balls...my excuse if ever asked is it is more comfortable on the motorcycle in the summer and less likely to get a hair twisted up and pulling something fierce while riding down the road...

I was an early adopter. just a couple of years after married, I asked my wife to do it. She was reluctant, I said I would do it too. She agreed and we lived happily thereafter.

Both me and her as as bald as babies. No bush for me.

OK. So an update on how it went down for me. Hope this helps out for someone in the future.

I had a minor sporting injury that just wouldn't go away. So I went to the doc who recommend a scan. Told the SO that they said it "might" need a shave. Raised eyebrows for a minute as she looked at me, and then I added that I'm not sure I wanted a nurse to trim it, especially if that might be a male nurse. She added quick as a flash, "Why don't you beat them to it"! So the night before the scan I took the bull by the horns or hairs and trimmed everything very close. Strange feeling. She had really noticed but a few days ago,while we were being a bit frisky, I pointed it out. Her only comment: "I bet that's more sanitary too!

So now I'm raring to go and try it out.with the FWB and see what she thinks. That will also take it from a very short trim to a close shave.
