I do too. I pray every night to my non-existent sky daddy that Trump gets it. It will put the evangelicals in such a quandary they won't know whether to shit or go to church. He's a fucking social liberal, regardless of what he says. He doesn't care about abortion. He's not religious. The only thing he has going for him is that he'll say anything. Are they really crazy enough to vote for him on that alone? Let him get the nomination and we'll find out.

I tend to agree but, I am not so sure. And, I will tell you that my thinking on whether Trump can get the GOP nomination is shifting. He isn't out in front by a little bit. He is way out front with no indication of any loss of momentum. Think about it. If he wins in Iowa and New Hampshire, he is going to win a couple of weeks later in South Carolina as well. Then on March 1, we're looking at a half dozen southern states in the mix...where Trump is issuing all the simplistic sound bites that our conservative contingent on the boards find so alluring.
It could happen and with Hillary apparently already fading, who does that leave for the dems? I think its more likely the country would elect Trump than Bernie Sanders. Self-admitted socialists don't win presidential elections. Joe Biden? I think Biden is a good man but he's a fuck-up who talks too much.
I keep trying to think of what might happen to slow Trump's momentum and I can't think of what that might be. If what he has done up to this point (insult war veterans, issue racial slurs, attack women, act like an arrogant bully, issue simplistic absurd pronouncements as solutions for extremely complex problems) hasn't slowed him down, then what is it gonna be? The fact is, the more ridiculous and over-the-top he becomes, the more the whacks adore him.
He could be the next President, god help us all.

Yanno, if I had read that just a week or so ago, I would have thought you were completely off-base.
But now I'm afraid your analysis may be bang on. Just not sure I see how anyone can easily stop him at this point. Although I think it's too early to say for sure, more and more astute observers seem to feel that Hillary's campaign is at risk of sinking like a stone amid controversy and scandals. And I can't see a cranky old self-described socialist like Bernie having much of a shot. Biden would be a long shot as well, it seems to me, since he comes off as such a silly individual.
Perhaps Trump will implode when people figure out that he offers no substantive and workable answers to any of the most fundamental challenges we face; only simplistic platitudes.
Reminds me of the cranky old anchor in Network who raved and ranted that he was "mad as hell and not going to take it any more." Of course, he didn't offer any actual solutions, either.

At the end of the day I believe most Americans have sense enough to see Trump for the cunt he is, of course shitbird tea party types will support him but in a general election the contrast between the grownup and the child will be the difference.

And if you lying iberals can do the " Box 13 " trick like Lyin Lyndon Johnson did, and odummer took to a whole other level, with having all of the " absentee " cemetery voters cast their ballots for Shrillary or Socialist Sanders or Bumbling / Groper "Stand UP ! " Biden, than you get to keep your section 8 housing and welfare card, right suckclown ? !! Sure wouldn't want to have to go out and earn a living by actually taking a J-O-B !!!

Trump has no "workable solutions"? What "workable solutions" do our current candidates propose? What "workable solutions" have our past few Presidents implemented? Maybe we should try some "unworkable solutions".

He can't even tell you what his favorite bible verse is, because the last time he cracked open a bible it was to rip a page out of the gideon in the nightstand to get rid of the whore he was with's gum. He doesn't even have the shell of a workable solution. He has endgame scenarios with no road map to get there.

Trump is selling his run for president like he is selling real estate, and overselling his promises.
