Will eccie be next?
LE has been hard at work lately. Bust in Waco, BCS and now SGBJ. SGBJ covered San Antonio, Austin, Dallas. Who ever used that service will soon be exposed. Ashley Madison was hacked. The fallout from that will be huge now that 36 million accounts are exposed. Will eccie be next?

I don't think anyone has put up personal information here (or shouldn't have put up too much), so a hack wouldn't really "expose" too much.

I agree, we are of no interest to a hacktivist group. No valuable data here to sell or hold ransom.
And now the long answer.... LOL

FWIW, here are my observations and thoughts.
First, current federal law protects online services from civil liability for what users post online. This is what protects ECCIE.
LE has shown a recent marked increase in provider busts. The focus is reported to be on targeting human trafficking and the “promotion” of prostitution, with an emphasis on busting pimps and especially anyone tied to minors. These are higher “level” of crimes than most anyone here could be accused of.
If you read the newspaper quotes from recent busts in Waco, BCS and Killeen, they are along the lines of “The joint operation between Department of Public Safety, FBI and College Station Police Department focused on investigating potential human trafficking victims” (recent The Eagle quote from 30 July 15),
“Standard” prostitution, under Texas law, is merely a Class B Misdemeanor, one step up from Traffic Tickets (Class C Misdemeanors) . It carries a possible fine of $2,000 and /or 180 days in jail. (Technically, under Texas law, a stripper offering you a lap dance for $20 and she grinds her fully covered buttox into your fully covered lap, is a violation under Texas prostitution law – and is why smaller towns have “air” dances, FWIW. )
Penalties for pimping or promoting prostitution (a Class A misdemeanor) include a fine of up to to $4,000, up to one year in jail, or both.
Aggravated promotion is a third degree felony, and penalties include a fine of up to $10,000, at least two (and up to ten) years in prison, or both.
Compelling prostitution of a person older than 18 is a second degree felony, punished with a fine of up to $10,000, at least two (and up to 20) years in prison, or both. Compelling someone younger than 18 into prostitution is a first degree felony, whose penalties include a fine of up to $10,000, at least five years (and up to life) in prison, or both.
To that end, SGBJ was an agency, and by definition a “pimp” or “promoter” and is at least involved in a Class A misdemeanor offense, with the possibility of facing potential felony offenses. Felony offenses are what the LE is seeking to persecute/prosecute.
An individual lady offering services and an individual gent seeking services is not worth the time or attention of LE. For the most part, that is what you see on ECCIE. The cops here, occasionally bust an individual lady, but 99% of the time, it comes after having received a tip or complaint.
ECCIE has taken additional steps to ensure that Verified Providers are by no means minors and they employ an age verification system similar to Gina’s system on P411.
Craigslist shutdown in 2010, was in response to criticism from the Feds and several state Attorneys General, that CL was promoting child prostitution. In fact, there were a lot of minors on that site.
Redbook’s recent shutdown in California, was not due to prostitution, (Prostitution was why they were being investigated, but not how the gov’t shut them down) they were shut down for money laundering (the IRS Tax Man, got them).
Ashley Maddison was a cyberterrorism target. Hackers got membership info (names, addresses, credit card info and more) on some 36 million members and have posted it on the dark web, after AM did not meet their “demands”.
So, am I at risk by being a member on this site? IMO, the only risk I truly take here, is somehow being outed to family and friends.
Is there a hacktivist group interested in doing so? No, there is no real payoff in them hacking ECCIE.
Are the cops interested in me being a member here? No, what will they do, post a wanted poster?
What exactly is my crime for being a member here? There is none.
What interest does ECCIE pose to LE or hacktivists? I would argue that the site itself is of minimal interest and that there is nothing illegal or worthwhile (of or by the site) to either group.
My .02 FWIW.
Respectfully,
OldSarge
