ok no one covered my favorite two places both serving my favorite genre of food> southern soul food! Rolands soul food at 14th and chestnut (which is the same as pleasant valley and cherrywood, changes names a lot) and country boyz fixins at 12th and springdale are both family owned home cooking from scratch soul food. to die for. worth a visit for sure. all those other places are good and fancy. these mom and pop local places are just good.

Hit all the food trailers on East 6th. Lots of variety and a nice atmosphere.

Then you're in the wrong part of the country.

Peach Tortilla on Burnett has made several national top 25 lists and it is inexpensive. Think spanish Japanese fusion sushi.
