Tattoos

I thought I would start this thread about tattoos since so many have asked about mine. I just got some more work done on the tattoo that is shown in my avatar and will be posting a couple of pictures later on. I usually get work done every other week and ore than happy to share pictures of the progress. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done and I have been working on the complete piece for over a year now and it is about halfway done.

The piece starts on my left leg and goes across my left butt cheek. It then continues to my right butt cheek and then down my right leg. I will also have a lower back tattoo that will pretty much complete the entire piece. The right butt cheek piece is still being drawn up and it should be ready for me to look at in a couple of weeks and I am hoping to get the outline done by the end of this month.

As promised here are some pictures of what I currently working on. More of the right leg will be done in a couple of weeks. Then hopefully a week after that I will get the outline done for my right butt cheek.

I am cutting back to 2 hour sessions every 2 weeks. In September I won't be getting any work done so in October I may go back to every week just to catch up.

I really love how all the skulls are turning out. I love the sugar skull. For my lower back peace I am going to have 2 skulls one regular and one sugar skull will something like steampunk wings coming out of them.

I'm waiting for my guy to come back to town. He moved a couple of years ago but still comes back a couple times a year. When he was getting ready to leave we were finishing my right half sleeve and I went in every 2-3 weeks for 4 hours or so. The last session we HAD to finish since he was leaving 2 days later. We went for over 7 hours of nothing but color. I did find that day that I do have a pain threshhold at about the 5 hour mark. Those last few hours were pure hell

I honestly don't know what I would do if my tattoo artist retired before being done with my current piece. It wold be hard to find another that would complete it the way I would want it. This piece is a year in the making.
