Proving WHAT point? Could you possibly be more obtuse?

Regarding the question of who "allowed" the derivatives markets, well, the answer would obviously be a pretty long list.

Derivatives trading is not a priori a bad thing. On the contrary, business managers can use it to hedge against various risks, for instance. The problem arises when OTC markets are completely unregulated and actors abuse them in a reckless, high-risk manner. But if you're looking to assign blame for the lack of effective regulation, a good place to start would be to read about how Brooksley Born sounded the alarm in the late 1990s while serving as CFTC chair, and about how her efforts were subsequently rebuffed by those who held powerful posts at Treasury and at the Fed.

Checked out Brooksley Born, thanks... I remember watching something on 20/20 in the late 90's on derivatives and thinking to myself this sounds bad... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...T2009052502127

I agree that many in this country spend their money foolishly but as long as I'm not having to give them money it's none of my business. It becomes my business when they are sucking at the government tit and spend the money on drugs and other stupid shit. Of course the progressives don't think we should be able to speak up about this. You think it's none of our business.

The notion of rich and poor is so subjective. Many employees have thought I was rich because I was in a better economic position than they were. I have friends that are have several million dollars and zero debt but they certainly don't consider themselves rich. Some people in the country would look at what my employees make think they are rich. Go look at the poor in other parts of the world and I bet they would think our poor have it made. Capitalism by far offers the best opportunity to work hard and better yourself. You can take your socialist ideas and shove them up your ass. If Denmark is so fucking great why don't you shag your ass on over. Hell you can be a wetback there just as well as here.
AND he could work at those gloryholes legally with all that socialized medicine and free checkups !

Wall Street is a giant scam, but that's for another time. I'm actually reading a book called 'Hedge Hogs' right now. Quite interesting. My point about us not needing all this shit. It's all bullshit. The need is created. It's not real.

If you think rich and poor are subjective, you're not poor, bottom line. As for me moving somewhere else, that's the last line of defense when you've got nothing left to say. "Oh yeah, we'll just move your fucking ass over there if you think it's so great". See how that sounds. Instead of being interested in making your own country the best it can be, you're satisfied with mediocrity. You're SO satisfied with it that you're unwilling to even accept the very thought that a few tweaks could improve things.

You say that stupid people spending their money doesn't matter to you, unless they start getting handouts. That's extremely shortsighted. If someone spends themselves into the ground, that's one less person paying in. Multiply that by the millions who do it and it goddamn well does start affecting you. I think what's stupid is that you don't start caring until you feel it. The point is to affect change before it gets to that point. Once the patient is bled out, there's no saving them. The key is to do something before it gets to that point.

You use that line in every fucking argument. "I'm just trying to make it better. You must not care about your country, the poor, hungry children etc. etc. etc." Your fucking idea of making it better is to turn this country into a socialist nation and you are full of shit if I will ever agree with you. You think you have it all figured out. Everyone else is just to stupid to understand. That is a typical liberal mindset. Do as I say not as I do because I know what's best for you. I can spend your money so much better than you can so let me tell you what you should buy. Jesus fucking Christ do you ever listen to yourself?

Do you ever listen to yourself? My guess is no. Denial and anger are common reasons when uncomfortable things are discussed. I'll go out on a limb and bet you've never visited anywhere outside the US. Maybe Mexico or Canada, but not Europe. No one is telling people in Denmark how to spend their money. You are receiving flawed information. You wouldn't accept flawed information in any other area of your life, but in this sense, you're accepting it. Would you accept flawed information from a manager? A flawed diagnosis from a doctor? No, you wouldn't. Your head has been filled with images and information regarding anything other than our form of govt as being bad. Even Rome fell. Did you honestly think it would last forever? Only an American would possess such hubris.

You're beyond your depth. You're also very lost. That's not what I'm saying at all. You're beyond saving.

And? What you conveniently leave out is what they receive for the extra tax they pay. All education is taken care of, including university. Students in the US are graduating with a mountain of debt already strapped to their backs. Universal healthcare is also provided, funded by those terrible taxes you pointed out. So there are two HUGE costs that Americans are responsible for out of pocket that the Danes take care of by taxation. As fucked up and wasteful as the US system is, I bet the percentage is in their favor by the time you factor in these two things. Nice try, but when you look at the whole story, it's not so good for us.

Look dumbass, I provided the figures to refute your ignorant claim that "no one is telling people in Denmark how to spend their money". Government is telling the Danes how to spend their money nearly 58% of the time. Whether you happen to like or endorse those spending decisions is irrelevant to the fact that you were wrong about who is making them.

Look, dumbass, what you did was tell half the story. You're required to have health insurance in this country. That's government telling you how to spend your money and it's not included in your number.
