What causes a thread to close?
Was looking at harley.kate00 thread that was closed.

Thats a simple question with a complex answer. Provide me with a link and I can tell you why it was closed.

In general we don't close threads unless they get so far off topic or devolve into an unsalvageable mess of guideline violations that a moderator decides to close it.

Not gonna go looking in all her posts, but..... Providers are allowed one ad every 7days in up to 5 cities. And a weekend ad for the city they will be in that weekend.

She was posting an ad every day in ad and weekend sections all over Texas. Essentially spamming the ad sections.

I am guessing that is why a thread was closed.

Knowing the link makes it easy. She has been a member since May 5 and providers can do one thread only in the welcome forum and it has to be in their first 7 days as a member.. Also, they can not post in the welcome forum after becoming a verified provider.
