Also, if you like steak, try Cattleman's out on the far far east side. You can't beat that place. It is a bit pricey (it used to be fairly inexpensive but been has gone up in price) but damned good.

There is a place on Ft. Bliss (you can get on base with a photo ID) called Smash burger. They have some damned fine hamburgers.

India Palace on the westside is great for Indian cuisine.
