Default Coed vs Coedpro

Just curious. Wonder % of posters in coed that post 90%+ of messages vs members of eccie. Maybe coed and coed postcentric?

Do double and triple handles count as one two or three people?

Each handle counts individually.

In churches, 80% of the work is done by 20% of the congregation.

I'm thinking the number here is less than 20%

Depends on if you're looking at the Houston forums or Eccie worldwide? Houston is unique I would think, we got a weird bunch of fucktard here that spend a good amount of time joking around with each other. I would hope the rest of Eccie would behave in a somewhat normal manner. While we do have our share of TROLLS who do a good bit of posting, luckily about half of them are touring with the Ban-a-Palooza. Judging from what I've seen in my short time here, guessing that there's about a thousand members in Houston, and about 20-30 major posters, that comes out to about 2-3%.
It's S.A.D. really.
subliminal advertising...

Since 2 to 3% do 80% of the posting, if you try to post to the forms and it happens to be a subject one of the 2 to 3% feels like attacking you for the others tend to chime in as well - it can make a new poster feel pretty unwelcomed. You tend to forget that the people bad mouthing you are a tiny percentage of the total population, because the other 970-980 are sitting quietly on the sidelines wanting to speak, but afraid that they will be attacked too. And nobody wants a negative reputation on a local board, because it might effect your seeing new talent. So, most stop posting and leave the 2% to devour their next new victim. The only thing that will reverse this trend is set a limit on the number of posts you can make a day - forcing the 2 to 3 % to choose what to say and when and limiting the attacking and crap comments, because you don't want to waste one of your comments on just spitting out bullshit, or the MOD's have to step in and make sure the mob stays under control. As long as you just let the beasts run wild you are going to have a jungle and civilized people are going to live somewhere else. Heck ... if the point of a board is to just let people run wild then why even have mod's in the first place?

Limit your posts to 1 every 6 months and the board will already improve drastically..

That's a bit harsh pipe,
what if the noob had a point? You proved it right there. It took me awhile to get a thicker skin to where I'd answer back to that comment. Yeah the poll was a train wreck, so was my first thread. Now we can jest him about it years down the line. But not if we censor him by bully tactics. Let him speak, he has that right just like you and I. Let him grow into the board. And if he's still posting stupid stuff like zanzi sissy panzi, then we can at least take a poll to find out who the dumbass is...
BTW 5t3v3
Limiting posts is censorship, and a really stupid idea.

True limiting posts won't work but just think of all the additional appts (or non address appts) DM could work in every day.

pffft. limiting posts wouldn't work at all. it is how it is because the other 900+ don't have or are lacking in balls. you won't learn to walk by not walking.

back on the limiting posts. my thought is that would create more work for the mods because that 2%-3% would have 99% of the member accounts. ha, ha! as in some would just make 50 accounts give or take. personally, I could care less to meet everyone's multiple personalities being as I don't care for their primary one.
