No responses, again

One provider posts an ad, I send a PM as the ad suggests, and then I see the provider hasn't logged on since posting the ad. That was a few days ago.

Another I send a PM with reference info as requested, get a response saying they'll get back to me later that evening, and then nothing that evening or the following day.


I missing something again?

If she claims online contact as the best way, yet is not online and theres no phone number, shame on her.

PM does not guarantee contact for me at all, so I always have my number listed within ad.

OP, try having a plan B, or C.

Perhaps you should do a search on a "lady" you are interested in seeing, before you contact her. Look at her reviews and posts. See if there is any mention of poor TCB skills, which is apparently what you are dealing with. There are a lot of awesome, reliable ladies in the metroplex that would love to meet your needs. Good look and hobby safely! :-*

+1 Kendall and have a back up plan. Keep in mind it can take time for screening. You think its slow for a provider to get back to you, think how slow a reference will be getting back to the provider. The reference has no since of urgency!

Good point Hun. That said, newbie-friendly providers who do not rely on references alone may prove most convenient for you at this point.

I agree.

A small handful of providers have excellent TCB skills. They may not contact you back right away, especially if they do not place a recent ad of availability, but will get back to you sooner than later. Most providers are not reliable. It is very frustrating when a provider places an ad, then you contact her by her preferred method of contact and she does not get back to you within an hour or so if at all.

IMO, those particular providers need to be called out each and every time and notated in a thread as Kendall4U has stated that you will find in research when it is done. As St. Chris himself has said, this website is for the hobbyists, not providers, so the noted history of a provider's TCB skills is particularly vital in researching a provider a guy wants to spend his hard earned money on.

Etrsk, I noticed that you have no reviews, this makes you a newbie and many girls will not respond to newbies, find one who states that she is newbie-friendly, along with some of the above suggestions.

A lot of providers just need to link their eccie email with their phones, so they are alerted when someone pms them

Posting an ad on eccie,asking clients to pm you first but never taking the time to check your pms screams unprofessional

NubianP, more good advice. When someone PM's me I am alerted by e-mail a whistle goes off on my phone so I am always able to respond in a timely manner.

Thanks for all the replies. Part of me was just venting (bitching and moaning), other part of me was curious about other experiences.

My takeaway: I probably need to have low expectations on responses, even if I do everything right.

I ended up seeing a provider from an appt a few months ago. One of the providers who disappeared sent a PM to apologize. Her reputation is seemingly good, so I may give her another try in the future.

It really is just how it is here in hobby world. I recently received some replies to pm's that had been sent so long ago I could not remember who the gal was or why I contacted her.
