This issue is very complicated. There is no one reason why women carry this policy. But you can be assured that the woman that slammed the door in your face will never see you. Just move on. Also if you don't have p411 or some verification service I recommend you get one. This is a good way to get some providers to ease the NBA policy. I also encourage you to take some time to go through the sticky thread in the main board on this topic. It will give you some clarity and you will find this issue is not just black and white. It is very complex and has everything to do with how everyone is conditioned to view blacks negatively. Hope you can get some piece of mind and continue to enjoy the hobby. But don't miss out on a good thing worrying about these NBA women. A few ladies in this post dropped you a hint that they would see you. You might want to follow up.

Exactly..Its very simple yet people are scared to come out and say the obvious for some reason. This post is all the thread needed really.

If you hired an agency to come up with the best plain for providers to make money while staying as safe as possible, the first thing they would tell you is don't see black men. Its a low reward high risk proposition. There are way too many black thugs to take the chance..I can't see how anyone could deny this.


I had a male friend years ago who thought about trying to make money by watching kids. He couldn't get any customers and it was obvious why. because nobody is letting a man watch their young kids when they can have women do it. And we know what these customers had concerns with and it was very understandable just like its very understandable that providers don't see black men..

The feeling towards blacks will not change until there are a lot less black thugs..Simple as that.

My daughter is dating a very nice aa man, the family has known the family for years. The young man came to me and said I have feelings for Alex. To which I replied I can't give advice on same sex relations. He took a step back and said no your daughter, why would you think I'm gay, to which I replied, your black why would I think you were talking about my daughter. I have never thought I was prejudice and love this kid like my own son. But it is deep rooted and I was never more aware to how stereotypes are rigid until I looked harder for them. I'm sorry for your situation and inability to change your color. I do have a suggestion though. If you see a provider as that you like, when you answer ask her if she would take a chance for an extra fee. An extra 40 to break the ice might do it. I know it's not fair but $ always stretches the rules. It may be the only way to increase your variety

But you do not either understand or care for other's choices, or preferences, because they do not want to see you for whatever reason, real or imagined. You can choose to contact whichever provider you wish. But that does not mean the provider is obligated to see you, or anyone else.

I've followed via PM with a bunch. Thanks for the actionable advice re: p411. I've shyed away from it due to work verification in the past but now may be a good time.

It's pretty clear when they state plainly it's because of your skin color, or if there's no other conceivable reason. A prospective John who's presentable in every other way would have to be kind of dense not to figure it out.

You can't go wrong with p411. It makes life much easier for you and the provider. And if safety is the issue for an NBA provider, being on p411 with OKs from other providers may persuade her to seeing you. No guarantees though. Every serious AA in the hobby should consider getting it.
