I was there yesterday and almost after lunch time due to a buddy needing transportation (and glad I am to be of service). Took me 7 minutes circling the parking lot to gain a space in the way back. But entered maybe 5 minutes before the usual 1 pm boom-boom call. "In a couple more songs, guys" per the dj.
Very loud! Was a real zoo. Crowded entry, way too many guys looking for a table. Many dancers, of course, few tables, waitresses distracted, and even the Grotto was cramped. Couldn't even perch in the Remy room.
VERY VERY LOUD! Even in the Grotto. Oh, my sensitive ear drums!
Suffice to say I departed shortly after arrival, went over to Freddy's on Blanco, had a double burger, fries, water and skipped out on the hot fudge sundae and thence to Wal-Mart to shop for some dinner items.
Pretty much as in previous years, Sweet Spot is not the place to be unless you start around 5 or 6 am and you're prepared to get hammered.

CK & JY thx for the legit responses - I had the same experience . I Was asking for advice on whether it worth the time to go at 6 or 7 am versus all the crowds later or if it was crowded early too.
