Haven't felt anything....got a phone call from my parents wondering if I was okay....didn't even know we had gotten any earthquakes.

I am not saying the fracking is not a contributing factor. Just saying there are plausible explanations. The timing of them makes you wonder, just like in Azle and Denton and areas in OK.

I left CA after a 6.96 hit an epic centre 15 miles from my home. Being on bedrock, it was one hellaa bounce and no structural loss. One big mess of glass etc. That is an earthquake. The recent here were bumps. A third of the 6. Moving here I knew Dallas was on a fault line that moved slowly with low level quakes; and building codes were in place to deal with a 7. so I mention this in hopes that you will less concerned and that fracking is not the cause.

There is zero evidence to suggest fracking is the cause. There is evidence to suggest waste water used in association with fracking may cause earthquakes when injected deep into the earth.

Nice theory, but the correlation between earthquakes and fracing is just theory, the math doesn't add up to correlation.
These earthquakes we've had are around 10 miles deep, frac jobs are under two.

The earthquakes happen when the Tectonic Plaques forcing against one to another finally move ...
The theory is that the waste water that has been injected to the wells at high pressure to bring up oil and gas, might be lubricating the contact in between plaques resulting in liberating the force that causes earth movement ...
How deep the wells and how deep the water through the cracks can go in is hard to tell ...
I highly doubt that the oil and gas associations will recognize any responsibility due to the costs if regulations are issued ...

A theory by now, yes, but fairly reasonable ...
At least we don't have a fault like Saint Andreas fault that is forcing in a way that studies predict that when such forces are finally liberated, the crack will open 10 feet wide swallowing buildings above it in California ...

My first experience with an earthquake was in November 1999, if I remember correctly. I was on the top floor of The Westin at Horton Center in San Diego, CA. It was like 2:00 am. I was trying to get a deal done and entertaining a TFB. I was looking out the window with a drink in my hand when the window hit me in the face. I could not figure out what just happen. Then the entire hotel started swaying and bouncing up and down like a jack-hammer. You could not stand up. The bed moved at least 5 feet from its original position. Nothing you could do except wait it out. It lasted an intense 45 sec. The TFB nearly shit his paints and ran down to the street and took a cab to the airport and waited until the first flight back home. Left everything in the hotel room.
