Back when Landry was the head coach, he could build the team through the draft and maybe make a trade here or there. Nowadays, free agency killed the dynasty era in the NFL.

I thought it was curtains for Cowboys and playoffs when they blew the lead. Igloos had all the momentum.
Good for them. Better than my pitiful bolts can do.

forget about beating the Colts... Garrett had to fuck it up.. he insists on running Murray into the ground.. why did he not replace Murray during the final 3-4 minutes? Mother Fucker.. Murray injured during the "final moments" of yesterday's game..

What Landry brought was discipline; Jimmy, as well. That's why I was sorry to see Parcells leave. Imo, the Boys have the talent; they just need a coach that will force them to perform to their potential. Of course, that and a secondary that has ANY clue how to cover receivers.

Put a Dillard's sign on the side of the field Randall should run from, Cowboys will do just fine.

The Cowboys (tied Pats) for the most picks with 12 in the 2009 draft. Now these are players that should be kicking off their fifth year in the league this upcoming season; contributing as starters or as quality depth on the roster. Look at this:
Traded their first rounder to Detroit for wr Roy Williams
Traded their second round pick to Buffalo for a 3rd and a 4th
3rd r Jason Williams
3rd r Robert Brewster
4th r Stephen Magee
4th r Brandon Williams
4th r Victor Butler
5th r DeAngelo Smith
5th r Michael Hamlin
5th r David Buehler
6th r Stephen Hodge
6th r John Phillips
7th r Mike Mickens
7th r Manuel Johnson
What do these guys have in common with one another? NONE of them were on the Cowboys' roster as of March 18, 2013.....the last one remaining was officially cut on that date.
For the record, that first rounder (which was the 20th pick that round) Jerry sent to Detroit became TE Brandon Pettigrew.
Here's a handful of Pro Bowlers Dallas would've had a shot at had Jerry not given that 1st round pick away:
Alex Mack (21st pick, 1st round)
Percy Harvin (22nd pick, 1st round)
Clay Matthews (26th pick, 1st round)
LeSean McCoy (53rd pick, 2nd round)
Max Unger
William Moore
Matthews paired with DeMarcus Ware might've made for a nice combo on defense.
But who would've thought a guy born in that family could actually play football...huh?
I'll come clean....have I twisted this post into my own personal platform to rail on Jerry Jones and his parade of miscues?
Absolutely. Think about it.....not even the Ford family (Detroit) would hire him as their GM. And they kept Matt Millen on their payroll for 7 years!

You guys know they won last night right??? I'm not suggesting all is well but a win is a win especially over a division opponent. At worst they can finish 10-6.
At best they can end 12-4 and still lose the division (currently, Philly has a better division record).
No matter what happens I'm glad to see them doing well but IMO, advancing to the Superbowl wont happen this year.

If Dallas finishes 12-4, they win the division and the #3 seed, no chance at #1 or #2, Philly can win out and only be 11-5, regardless of division record, they will have a better overall record. If the boys lose one of the last two games, it will be very slim for them to get in as a WC should Philly win out, they will take the division. If Dallas does lose, it can only be to Indy, because if that one loss is to Washington, they will be officially out of the playoffs If Philly loses one of their two remaining games, the division record will be the same, but the Cowboys win the division based on conference record 8-4 and 6-6 respectively. #5 seed is unattainable so the only way the boys can get the #6 seed is if Detroit beats Green Bay at Green Bay (not likely) and Green Bay would then tie with Dallas for the last spot. No head to head meeting, the conference record will be the same, so the next tie break would record against common opponents and those records are DAL 4-1 GB 3-2 respectively, all others teams that have a chance for a WC seed will get it over Dallas due to head to head or conference record. In the GB scenario, the boys will go back to Philly for the rubber match. If Green Bay wins against Detroit, the 6th seed will be either Detroit's due to the better conference record or Arizona's due to head to head and the Dallas is out.
So basically, it is win the division or miss the playoffs.

Was he injured during that final drive that lead to Bailey's 49 yd FG? If so, the game was still in the balance as I recall (35-27) and the Cowboys were trying to make it a 2-possession game again. Not a time to put Randall or Dunbar in.
If that's when he was injured then so be it.... ya dance with the one that brung ya. Run Murray....move the chains....and let the chips fall where they may. Injuries can happen any time of a game....hell, I've seen season ending injuries to players occur on the final play of the game before. It is a contact sport, ya know.

That wasn't me CB, your quote got fouled. I got no issue with a coach using his horses. Some people just don't grasp football concepts.

No worries, Bolt....it was General Tran's (#198) observation (not picking on ya, Chang...but I do think blaming Garrett for this injury is a bit of a knee-jerk reaction, IMO).
This is not to say Murray won't be missed if he cannot suit up this Sunday vs Indy. Let's keep in mind, the Colts are without their starting RB (Ahmad Bradshaw), also. And neither Richardson nor Herron are the runner he is. And their production has steadily declined since his absence.
One more thing....the Colts haven't beaten a team with a winning record in almost 2 months. They've won 5 of their last 7 games and all 5 of of those teams have a combined 24-46 record; in the process, barely getting by their last 2 opponents; Houston and Cleveland (both 7-7).....two teams with big QB problems.
In between those games, they got lit up twice (on the road) by both New England (42-20) and Pittsburgh (51-34). The Pats rushed for 246 against them while Big Ben launched 6 TD's and 522 passing yds when they played.
If Dallas shows up with the same intensity this Sunday as they did this last week vs the Iggles, they'll win (even with the shoplifter taking most of the snaps).

Garrett is at fault!
http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/20...ilestones-more
not really specific in this link, but Murray injured his hand at the end of the game.. he ran the ball several times after the Cowboys had sewed up the game.. up untill Romo's final kneel-downs.. nobody realized how hurt Murray was until hours later, which shows Garrett had no issue giving the ball to Murray play-after-play.. take Murray out at the 3:30 to 4:00 minute mark, and he plays healthy against the Colts..

Until Romo and his kneel down, the game wasn't sewn up.

You're right, Chung.....this link had no specific information to what we're talking about here (ie: which play Murray was injured).....so what was the point in posting it at all?
You can ballyhoo from now till the cows come home that it was the head coach's fault.....per this issue, we're just going to have to agree to disagree. Coach's do not coach games with vision of knowing the outcome of each possession / play in advance. Oh, by the way, with the Eagles' up-tempo bliztkrieg style of offense, I don't believe a game versus them is ever "sewed up" until the clock hits 0:00 and they're boarding the bus home.
As we know, plenty can go wrong in sports...especially the violent game that is the NFL. And injuries are part of what goes wrong throughout the league each week. That said, the game coming up this weekend (against the Indy Colts)....well, let's just say the Cowboys bigger challenge is not going to if Murray can or cannot suit up; it's going to be keeping young Andrew Luck and his receivers out of our end zone.
