It's a Sex and the City reference. At some point Samantha dates a guy who is excessively hairy. She confronts him and uses the line "Could you shave or something? Blowing you is like getting my teeth flossed." I guess that lodged itself into the consciousness of the show's watchers.

The first time I did the entire body I was also dating a female bodybuilder. Back then it was normal for most women to have a full bush, trimming started coming around the late 70s and picked up in the early 80s with female bodybuilders and by the 90s the bare look was practically the norm in many circles.
Guys usually shaved the body and trimmed so that pubic hairs didn't peek thru the skimpy posing trunks. I had another female friend help me with the waxing of the body and then shaved the midsection. When my girlfriend and I got together we had some fun and were amazed at how slippery we were with each other. That pretty much clinched it for me.
But if I'm going to see a provider within a weeks time I'll forgo the waxing cause realistically I need about a day or two for the pain and irritation to subside.
Shaving is tricky cause the razors don't really get into all the little nooks and crannies, especially around the base of the penis. Pulling hair off the scrotum is almost nothing short of torture. I usually prefer a week to recuperate but I love the extra feel of freedom. I've only had a few ladies who were really bare as in waxed. Most are shaved and have some stubble. I know of one who trims, but her hair is so fine that it almost feels like waxed. And Spicy Z..., you're still a turn on for me.

I've been getting laser hair removal treatments on the butt and pubic area. It's very smooth; the reactions of the providers I see have been favorable. A couple have even volunteered rim jobs. They may have done it anyway, but I know I wouldn't want to lick a hairy asshole.
