Talking Thinking of visiting NOLA soon...

So, I'm thinking of making another NOLA/BR trip again soon. Last time didn't go as well as I'd hoped. I did have a few issues with getting a hotel and locking my keys in my care, etc. But I'm hoping this trip will be much better. LoL!
Last time I stayed in Metairie. It was pretty nice there. But, I just wanted to ask some of the locals, is this the nicest place to stay? Or does anyone else have any other suggestions? I do not like to stay in places such as the Days Inn, Knights Inn, Econo Lodge, etc. Those hotels are usually dumps and trashy and I do not stay in them as I like to provide my friends with "classy" more "upscale" service. So, hotels where you enter the room from the outside are unacceptable.
I also do not really want to stay downtown as parking is just about as much as a room costs. So, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance guys and ladies.

XOXO
Cara

Hey, for anyone who hasn't met Sweet Cara. she is a fun girl.....last trip which was slow for her, we spent a some fun time at my house, and went to some strip bars on Bourbon and got Daquiris.......and this was off the clock, by the way. Anyone want to know about her check the San Antonio section...she is an unusual hooker LOL just the way I like them. LOL

The Saint is nice but pricey but there are easy parking solutions on North Rampart. After that you might try the Hilton Garden Inn Convention Center but this time of year the prices are expensive. The Queen and Crescent is nice but the parking is limited......New Orleans is really not all that for indy girls, Bourbon Street gets em drunk and broke fast and there is ample opportunity in the strip clubs......

In my opinion, Cara, I'd consider downtown. I think you can find some deals on parking. Plus, the hotels are much nicer and closer to more things. I also think it'll be good for clients who work and/or live within the city. Like me, for example.
