I seem to be getting a lot of clients That call me during hours not posted on my showcase. Which means I'm usually with my kids, so its hard to talk. when they began the convo, I let them know right away that I am busy and cannot speak, I then ask them to text. Some get mad but most just hang up and never text... how do you handle a phone call from a client infront of others?

Like the guys, you should probably have a separate hobby phone (with a different ring tone) that you only answer during business hours, or whenever it's safe to do so. Even with your hobby number, maybe you should state shortly, what your safe hours are. Perhaps even turn the volume down on the hobby phone when it's inconvenient to answer... Just a few thoughts.

Agree...separate phone with perhaps even a voice mail that says you'll call back as soon as you can. Even then men with boners aren't exactly the best thinkers and after checking out your showcase that's exactly the type of mentality they will have.

Like you would any other professional phone call. Be polite and don't use hooker terms. Make it seem like you're meeting them for a business reason. Most of the guys I deal with have "normal" conversations with the "extra" thrown in. So I can fake it to make it seem like I'm talking to a friend or on a business related matter.

If that doesn't work and they get upset or bitchy or whatever then just hang up. If they are THAT hard to deal with on the phone do you REALLY want to spend an hour with them?

If I'm busy, occupied with family or other company, I just don't answer. It's as simple as that. I will return the phone call when it's convenient, but if too long has passed, I will just send an email saying, "Sorry I missed you. Call me back when it's convenient." I always try to keep in mind that calling back after too much time has passed might pose a problem for the other person, as well. We all have lives outside of the hobby – and honestly, Sarah… If the guys who are calling you can't accept that, then they are probably not guys that you want to deal with anyway.

i use a separate fone & i just dont ansr if unavailable or if i can, i text a short response. my usual friends know & understand we all have real life reasons we may not be able to talk. i also request in my ad to pm me for booking. if they dont do this, i text back requesting a pm. the gentlemen are usually cooperative & dont seem to mind.

Also, do not post your phone number and only give it out after screening and appointment time is set.

I have kids so i understand.
I have a "hobby "phone and a personal .
If I'm with kids or at work my "hobby"phone is not a concern and maybe off.
Sorry well actually not sorry but my family time comes 1st
If someone can't leave a voicemail then oh well !
I check my hobby phone on breaks @ work and when my kids r being kids.
I never have had a problem.
