At best Rice will only be out six games. That is the suspension that Goodell created. Rice's case is no different than any other and should not be treated any differently.
Is Jerry going to get fined and suspended for his five year old groping case?

Did anyone else think that he should've picked her up, then carried her out the elevator, instead of dragging her around like a dead body?
The punch didn't seem too alarming - We've seen better hits with Solange - but the way he treated his fiance in the aftermath was quite interesting.
Wasn't this the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with? Did he not have any concern that his punch maybe, and just could've killed somebody?
But oh no. Ray Rice kept his composure and seemed a bit nonchalant - SMH. Apparently, the two must've been at blows with each other before, and clearly, this kind of violence will not end as they enter into unholy matrimony.
What a waste of a punch - Rice could've put that energy into football to enhance his career.
I feel sorry for both of them. So much carelessness.

The video tells a lot- you are right- if that was me and I punched a lady out of pure anger and knocked her out- my immediate reaction would be OMG what did he do- I would be paranoid/shocked/ even fear that harmed her- however he showed no bit of remorse it was just another day to Rice.
What sickens me even more is how does his wife marry a man that knocked you out cold??? BSB this would be the equivalent if I saw you at your incall and you had some dude beat the shit out of me- would I go back and see you again and again- or vice versa you came to my home and I didn't pay you for services- what you ever see me again? Hell No- so why did his wife decide to marry a man that would harm you? SMH

the man was thinking about his career.. picking up dead weight like that could cause serious back injury, risking tens of millions of dollars he stood to earn playing football.. and before you ask.. no, he didn't think before throwing the punch, because.. well, no NFL player ever got in trouble before for smacking his Bitch..

Chung that was my initial thought- but in reality there are thousands of women who get beaten or abused by their boyfriends/husbands and their husbands are broke or no where close to being rich or wealthy so it isn't the money factor.

good point WE.. but what is it then? or is there a multitude of reasons? I'm sure it's complex, but this kind of thing happens a lot, as you say... and it brings out many of us who ask "why does she stay with him"? and a lot of women who say "if it was me, I'd dump that SOB in a heartbeat"..
but you wonder.. would she really? anyone can show bravado about someone else's plight..

You've obviously never dealt with battered women, it's not that surprising. Women staying with the man that beats them is very common. I have a coworker that is still with her husband after he beat her. The black eye he gave her lasted a week and half.

If this was the case - She should've taken the black-eye along with the swollen jaw and sued his in tail in court.

I absolutely agree Wellendowed! I don't see how anyone could love the hand that hits them, unless they are a submissive or just totally into the BDSM world.

She was not a guy, and even if she was, it would still be assault and the hittee in this instance can legally file charges, especially for punching and knocking the other person out. You cannot file charges for someone spitting on you and you suit actually go anywhere, neither can the other person file charges for you pushing them away or even a slap in the face, which is what Rice should have done, but for the attempt to cause bodily harm is against the law.
I think he has probably hit her before and this was just the first time he has been caught, and since it is on tape, he cannot refute it, but since the legal aspect has already been dealt with, double jeopardy attaches. They got married very quickly, no fancy wedding or anything after this fiasco which makes me think Rice married her so she will not nor cannot be persuaded testify against him.

Ha!
good point BSB.. actually 2 good points.. here, and those that rest on your chest
maybe she's in a better position now.. divorce and sue him.. lots of cash still to come, and she could go on the road as a battered women's spokeswoman.. no, spokesman, spokeswoman is stupid..

An enabler she is- why $$$$ So sad This is not about the enabler. It is to get the Comiss. By the press. again $$$. The winner. the NFL. Why- this will blow over. Rice will be poor. His wife will leave. She may publish to survive. He, hope he learned something i n a classroom. The investigation? Benghazi, IRS , VA, Obamacare, just to name a few recent ones, do come to mind. Sad we have become not expecting getting to the bottom of it. No question I am of earlier vintage. BUT still able fight once as I ever could. Just waiting for the right one before death overcome.
