Well I'm gonna share several my great experiences these are in no order. I've been thinking about this thread off and on for a while so was not watching the trajectory of some of the tangents that have popped up so will opt to ignore them.

While I have had some really positive and memorable play related memories, the things that stand out to me are the moments less connected to BCD per se (or at least appt related BCD).
I've been fortunate to have developed some real world friendships with providers and dancer/providers that transcend the hobby. They continue while the hobby phase is well past or in some cases have eclipsed any hobby related fun.

I remember one appt where the provider had had a terrible day in family court and felt abandoned by everyone in her life that should have been there for her...holding her in my arms as she cried...being some small comfort was to me more special than most of our play times.
