Taking someones life is a huge deal ...
Thug or not ...

Thats one of the first things you're taught when getting a CHL or LE training ...
Carrying a firearm, being a civil or officer brings a huge responsibility on how to use it ...
Firing is the last resort specially against an unarmed person:
No matter if its a robber, thug criminal or a saint ...

Looks to me like a lack of training, self control, or even maybe psychological or hate issues of the cop who fired ...

If the boy was guilty of a crime, that is why we have laws, juries and courtrooms ...
They should have done their job: arrest the boy, and let the judge decide his punishment ...

Im glad that we dont live in an eye for an eye society ... I hope ...

That is the most tasteless comment I have heard out of anyones mouth in a long time. It does not matter what ethnic backround or what have you.The kid was unarmed. Everyone has an opinion, but our opinions don't make a difference to the mother who just buried her son today.
I have a lot more to say, but will not let idiotic comments like that make me stoop so low. I will take a moment to compose myself..

Bullshit. The cop told them to get on the sidewalk. That showed he knew nothing about the shoplifting incident. The deceased isn't going to try to rp take a gun from someone who from his actions makes it clear he doesn't know snout the shoplifting.

If you go listen to the dorian johnson story and try to filter the facts out of it, you would know that the cop told them to get on the sidewalk and then initially drove off. He then backed up and try to get out of the car. I think this is when the teens figured the cop may have known about the robbery (even though he may not have) and this is when brown tried to block the cop from getting out of the car and the scuffle may have occurred.

what dallasfan said.. it's been established that the Cop knew nothing about the "shoplifting" ( I call it robbery) when the guys were stopped.. they were stopped for walking in the middle of the street (maybe for being young & black, and walking down the middle of the street)..

some people don't like Cops stopping and detaining them.. anyone who has watched more than 3 episodes of "Cops" knows that..

you're willing to suggest those guys would not have rushed a Cop, that such behavior would be unreasonable under the circumstance.. but you don't afford the Officer the same reasoned judgement, that he would not shoot to kill without proper provocation..

:lol at people's rampant imaginations at this point and tangential topics as if they were pertinent. I guess those that can't muster a response to simple questions just ignore them. Quite telling of if they're actually interested in facts and discussions or just want to believe whatever fits their views. The latter is exactly why this has escalated to a shitstorm.

Woah now. It's been said in this very thread as fact that this had nothing to do with race. Careful with that crazy talk!

That kid is for sure a punk......and if the cop was in a position that he had to shoot then fine.....but six times?

The first 4 shots were not fatal and i doubt that brown was still a threat after that. the last two head shots werent necessary and he would still be alive.

It shows the kind of people (poor judgement) we allow to walk the streets with guns.

But Brown is not a good person at all.thug punk etc

I was thinking he needs a "hobby" but he's the kind guy that would get a no AA thread started.

By the way lets not start a no AA thread this month

First of all the Cop that shot him has recanted once already. At first he didnt know about the robbery then he did. At the scene he was okay. Now he has a broken eye socket. So whatever the officer says at this point is not credible. Was Mike Brown a thug? Did he live in India and strangle people? LOL! He was a deviant that stole some cigars but the Cop had no idea he was that guy. I don't even think the store owner had reported it by then. The issue is are cops killing people unjustly? I say yes and I say slightly more black than white.
Here are a few videos that show a different side of Ferguson and that area in general.

[QUOTE=blackmaleindallas;105572 1298]Even "thugs" deserve due process and cops or random citizens can't play the role of judge, jury, and executioner. Laws are there to protect the innocent and the guilty.

Fuck that, I don't care what color any thug is, motherfuckers try to jack cars, kick in doors, bust an old person's head, drag a woman through a parking lot for $5...I vote the citizen with a concealed carry who pops the bastard for mayor and give them a medal besides.

Years ago, you would see some convenience store clerk shot executioner style for the money in the drawer.

Dallas police would send out shotgun squads and position themselves in the cooler. When a robber would come in and point a gun at the clerk, they would blow them away. Every time this happened convenience store robberies stopped for months.

Eventually, people said that the cops were acting like judge, jury and executioners and shotgun squads were banned.
