Most of the hotels in the Arboretum area are cleaner, nicer, and will cost a little bit more per night. However, if a lady is looking to make money, she won't have clients afraid their shit is going to get stolen or afraid they will walk into a sting in the Arboretum area. Not that it can't happen, but the FBI does have that big grant to clean up the Rundberg area, conveniently right next to the Vagina Triangle.

Sure if you want to go learn about the hipster culture, you can go to SoCo. If you want to learn about Austin culture, I'd say visit Spamarama or Aqua Fest. Wait, those shut down as we became a hyper-monetized city, who likes to promote the big Music Festivals like ACL and Fun Fun Fun Fest. Austin is at crossroads, and will be for years to come. So the culture, is a moving target.
I am from North Austin so I am biased. But I have visited Kyle & Buda, and I have also visited Round Rock and Georgetown. RR & Gtown seem to me to be cleaner cities than Kyle or Buda. There is also alot less redneck white trash in RR & Gtown vs. Kyle & Buda. |
