Default PLANNING A TRIP TO CORPUS CHRISTI SOON

I am wanting to take my SB on a beach vacation the last week of July and was wanting information on best places to stay in Corpus Christi and best places to eat if anyone wants to weigh in.

Ideally, I'd like to find a beachfront timeshare house or condo to rent for 2 or 3 days if that is realistic. Or I could just do a beachfront hotel.

I have never been to Corpus Christi and just need some ideas of how to make this the vacation of a lifetime. My SB looks pretty good in a bikini and we have no beaches in Tulsa!

And, if any of you ladies or gents makes it up to Tulsa or OKC, I can be your tour guide up here. I know the lay of the land in this region pretty well.

PM me if you would rather do that than post.

So, places to stay close to beach . . .

Best restaurants in town . . .

Things to do . . .

Thanks for indulging me.

So, two Tulsa people have to post on the South Texas Board to communicate with one another! Lol!

Thanks. That will be enormously helpful.

I would recommend the hotels downtown such as the Omni Bayfront Hotel or the Holiday Inn Marina.

Restaurants.....I'd recommend the restaurants on the southside by the mall area. Right off the freeway S.P.I.D. (South Padre Island Drive/TX-358).

There are also nice hotels off the freeway too. What type of hotel are you wanting? Hilton Hotel?

There is Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Marriot Courtyard, Springhill Suites, etc......

Default From what I've heard about Tulsa...

You'll probably want to stay on North Padre or Port Aransas. More artsy, more affluent, and great dining options.

I have stayed at Holiday Inn Marina several times and have always been very satisfied. The pool is on the 2nd or 3rd floor (can't remember which) and is very nice but be ready for plenty of wind. Waterstreet Oyster Bar is pretty good; not the best in CC but it is within walking distance. There was some discussion about CC restaurants recently. Hope this link helps.
