Give it a shot. Only you can decide if it's for you or not, I prefer references. Unfortunately there will be those men who either don't have or don't like to give references, that's where as AJ said you gotta get creative in screening. And there will be those women who aren't nice unfortunately too, though from my experience there are a lot of nice ladies around here willing to help because they know how it is and they want you to be safe too.
