I am on the fence about this. I think in a way I would provide maybe once or twice a week but then again I would be very selective now on the other hand I think you ladies have a demanding lifestyle and RW so I am not sure if I could give a definite yes I would or no I would not. Good question though.

If I had the youth and body to be a male provider, and knowing what I do about that side of the industry I probably wouldn't, or might for a short time in hopes of being a kept boy for a while. From the bit I know via an acquaintance out of state and a bit of reading, guys have it as bad if not worse than the ladies. There are very few non-managed guys because ladies in general seem to feel safer dealing with another women for all the TCB. Also, the competition is high to maintain the ideal body, not to mention dealing with performance issues.

If I were a woman, (that looked less like John Goodman than I do as a man) I might do it for a while just for the experience, or as a way to meet a short term goal. but I don't think I could make a long term (several year) job of it.

In both cases I would strive to bring an emotional connection to the encounter, or at least be present in the moment and not "watch the clock" or be otherwise distracted.

I would understand that communication before an engagement is important, even thought it is "unpaid side work". I would be selective, not responding to men or women (and if I were a provider I would most likely see both sexes as I would be in it for the experiences as much as the cash .. well ok maybe not as much as the cash) that couldn't initiate a conversation with a complete thought, if not complete sentences.

I would set my rates a slightly above the "acceptable rate" in order to weed out people seeking a more mechanical encounter. But not so high that I limit myself to the types of people I could encounter. I would attempt to position myself so that I didn't have to negotiate rates, but also try to be flexible and if he or she was wanting something different that should cost more at least consider it. I would reward repeat business, or excellent manners with things like OTC diner or drinks, extra effort in fulfilling a fantasy, etc.

I would develop relationships with other providers, so that I could refer clients that for whatever reason I couldn't see or my clients that were looking for something new or different to people I knew and approved.

I am not sure how I would handle some of the business side of things; how to discretely live out of hotels seems like it would be harder than it looks. So I would seek the advice and counsel of more experienced and (hopefully) trusted providers, that would be willing to advise on a flat rate or barter type system, vs becoming managed in any degree. I don't think I would ever feel comfortable giving a % cut to anyone for any reason.

I might have more to add if I took more than 4 minutes to ponder the topic.
