Based upon where I live, I have to come up with some good excuses to hobby. As amp town seems to have dried up, it seems most of the providers to my liking are in the Dallas or galleria area which means a 40 to 45 minute drive. That sucks. That means I have to come up with a good excuse of about 2.5 hours to get out and hobby. More like 3 hours. The worst part? My hobby account, my slush fund account, is growing because I'm not getting out and hobbying as much. Terrible thing that money just doing nothing. Even the interest these days is terrible. Curious as to what good excuses other fellow hobbiests use, as I'm running out of excuses to get out.

I am not sure where you are located at but have a lady do an outcall to you at a hotel.

Play golf or tennis. Golf eats up 5-6 hours going, playing, returning, etc.
Gym membership. (But then she'd have to see results...)
Poker at night. (But then she'd have to see results...)
Maybe something came up at the office and you have to take care of it.

Buy a bicycle Take SO on ride around LosCollinas lake/pond
1 time of that and you will be encouraged to go alone.

Buy gun. Go to shooting range. Many excuses.
