Switch meat to a brownie pan or casserole dish. Pepper, and paint with unsalted clarified butter. pop in a 425 degree oven until interior meat temp hits like 140-150(Med Rare) like 6-7 min.you need a
\meat thermometer (like a Taylor).

pull it out around 145 turn oven down to like 150-200, pot it back in for like ten to sit. carve n eat!

many variations on this recipe. you can do bone in filets or really any steak just experiment with what you like. Ribeye not healthiest but probably the best for this method.

sorry to make this tmi and so long but you get the idea. sides next time. Enjoy the 3/14!
The whole reason to use a cast iron pan is so that it retains enough heat to sear the entire steak, and so you can move it right into the oven to complete the cooking.

This method will cook the best steak you've ever tasted. Season with just a bit of salt and pepper.

Now THAT'S funny.

+1 on the Cast iron & oven. The technique gets a good sear on the stovetop and finish cooking in the oven.

I still prefer charcoal but it takes a lot more attention.

I'd have to delay the blow job until the meal had settled. Or have desert first.

I'm a little different in order than Old Grump. I also am not into hobby activities on a full stomach as mentioned but get hungry as hell afterwards, especially for protein. A nicely cooked piece of prime grade mammal with a good glass of Cab or Malbec, after an exceptional French lesson sounds like the perfect afternoon. I think I just described my vision of heaven!

Any woman sporting a cast iron skillet just got a whole lot more desirable in my eyes!
Good sex followed by a good steak !!! Can't beat that.

Rudolph's Meat Market; been on Elm Street for about 100 years....it is by far the best butcher in Dallas.................their sausage is the go-to links for most good BBQ joints across North Texas.......

http://rudolphsmarket.com/

They butcher and age their own steaks on site. Their prime beef is hands down the best beef available in Dallas....it is expensive, but damn good. It doesn't get any better than Rudolph's - Whole Foods, Central Market, Kuby's pales in comparison.

So until then, do any of gents have recommendations for places to buy fresh meat/links/BBQ? Any tips for grilling? Any good beers/wines that are good for marinating a steak?

Also, anyone want to share any thoughts about what constitutes an amazing BJ? You can never learn too much in the head academy. I strive to be an A+ student.

I look forward to mastering the grill and the meat! So guys (and gals), let me know all your secrets, recipes, and recommendations!
The one of the best marinade's for steak is actually Coca Cola. I cut it with a dash of merlot and fresh garlic and peppercorns.
