Sounds like newbie SP on the scene here. If I'm going to a hotel, I walk right through the lobby, just like I belong there. There is usually foot traffic going back and forth and attitude is what gets you through. There are some hotels that do lock the main door at night, you need a key to get in. Don't be afraid to as the SP about the set up of the hotel. It is in the interest of the SP to ask the hotel about security. I know one lady who calls ahead of time to ask, using the reasoning that she may go there with kids and doesn't want to get a bunch of key cards. If you're local, and in the game for a while, you learn which places lock up at night and what time.

the whole thing just sounded weird to me..if there had been no confirmation of the
appointment..i believe thats what i read..why go?

if they were texting.. ( and that folks is one reason why i insist you call)..they probably mixed up their texts with you and a couple of other folks..

and id never meet a client in the lobby..i dont care what time it is..unless we are leaving the joint..then im already in the lobby waiting for your car to drive up to the door
and me walking out and hoppin in and off we go...

I don't understand some of the guys concern with going into a hotel lobby. People come and go all the time. The person on the day shift doesn't know who checked in on the night shift and vice versa. The people working there won't know if you are a guest or an actual customer if you just walk in like you belong there.

I agree but having the main door locked adds a new angle, one I wouldn't tolerate. Then I have to talk to someone, I wouldn't have a key, I don't know how much traffic has been going on, maybe the desk lady has already set the girls up and I'm just icing on the cake. I'd rather deal with a PT engorged handler than a locked up hotel.
